How to Get There
We were shocked at the condition of this hotel. The shower was nasty, towels not clean and the rudest staff ever. I went to the bar for ice and was told I could only have one cup. I almost fell on the ground laughing. A hotel rationing out ICE? The next day at breakfast, the wait staff stood over the dinning room watching like hawks. I wonder if they had a rash of people stealing food there?? I was not comfortable with the hotel although, I did like the location. It's also, close to the US Embassy. I would suggest you stay at adjacent hotels.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Downside room was quite small with little storage, only a narrow wardrobe on either side of the bed, and it was a deluxe room. Also, no in-house restaurant, under renovation, but plenty of restaurants nearby.
Stayed at the hotel and was a little upset..
The room was okay but the deco allows the masking of dirt on the walls and fittings... the bed was good and the TV also good although had 900 channels it was not correctly set up... The bathroom was okay and the shower was quite good.
The room had so many stains and bad corners it was unreal not 4* see my photos disgusting to be honest...
The breakfast was also poor ... two hot options for a 4* and the coffee was really bad.. Cereal was okay but tasted old and recycled from day to day..had some nice Nutella pastries
The hotel has NO evening service despite all this alcohol on show and no room service again not 4*
The spa is also NOT included in your room rate but after looking at it I would notepad €25 per person per hour! For a steam room and sauna..
Overall not the best, luckily for me I ate at the hard rock most nights and also tried breakfast there one day which is good..
The bus stops around the hotel are ideal for getting around room so that's a positive and the area is very safe being close to all government embassy and offices
We had a valuable piece of jewellery stolen from the room - the manager was very unhelpful and dismissive the incident was reported to the police but nothing was recovered.
Another couple had someone break into their room in the middle of the night.
This hotel has a bad security problem.
The hotel has good facilities and is decorated in a mock baroque style which gives it a nice feel. We liked the loaction and found some good restaurants nearby.
Our bedroom was fine and overlooked the street so plenty of light. Firm but comfortable mattress, good storage space and a very good shower.
Despite the lovely rooftop setting breakfast was not up to standard for a four star hotel, very artificial juices, tinned fruit not fresh, poor quality ham and minimal fresh bread as most of it was the ready sliced variety. Only two small containers of hot food not sufficient for the number of guests. We only ate breakfast twice during our five day stay.
We found the staff were very indifferent, did not make us feel welcome and a couple of them were not very professional at all. The lack of courtesy was disappointing and a couple of our requests were not dealt with correctly.
That aspect would put us off staying again.
