How to Get There
stayed here with my partner for our 2 years together mark.
on first impressions it was beautiful, staff were really friendly, the room was perfect very clean and comfy, room top bar and restaurant was amazing, good food and the view looked right over the city. spa was really nice, small but just right perfect before getting ready to visit the night life. Would advise anyone to stay here :)
A nice little hotel just on the edge of the main hub of the city sites.
We managed to get around the city fine from here some places are walking distance (Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps) others you will need transport.
We had a deluxe room it was clean a tad on the small size but we were happy enough.
Staff very helpful, breakfast didn’t set the world alight but a beautiful view from the room served in.
The room was small but nice. This is a older Hotel but it was nice. The room was cleaned daily and when we didn't need the room cleaned they hanged out the towels for us and the hotel offered breakfast which was a plus and helped us save money on that meal. The staff was friendly and helped with any questions we asked.
Not what I perceived would be our first nights in Italy. It is maybe a one star hotel. I would expect this on I95 on the ride up the east coast of the US when you stopped too late and had to take anything. We can thank Insight Vacations for this hotel. Never again Insight!!!
Our local travel agent booked this hotel for our group as part of a flight+hotel package to a set budget. After reading previous reviews here on TripAdvisor I was a little apprehensive, however, our experience was a very pleasant surprise.
We had three twin rooms for our group of 6 "mature" ladies. Each room was on the 5th floor, overlooking the street, so great views over the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We all loved the quirky "ancient Rome" decor, and the beautiful Christmas decorations. So much better than a bland, chain hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were made to feel valued and welcome.
Breakfast in the top floor dining room was included in the price and was fine for a continental style breakfast. As well as bowls of tinned fruit and yogurt, there was a dish of fresh fruit and three types of cereal. Sliced ham, salami and cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, plus bread and pastries. There was also scrambled egg and crispy bacon, however I didn't try that (on a low-fat diet!). The coffee was not as good as that found in the cafes and restaurants but there is hot water and milk and various teas available, plus some sweetened fruit juices.
The location was ideal for us. In a quiet, safe location and only a 15 minute walk from the Spanish Steps. We walked everywhere during our 4 day trip and found Rome quite easy to get around on foot, although we are all reasonably fit and active. One evening, after 8 hours of walking during the day, we asked the concierge to call us a taxi to the Via del Corso. This was only 12 euros, which we felt was quite reasonable for the 6 of us.
Overall, I think if you can get one of the better standard rooms facing the front this is an excellent choice for a Rome city stay.
