Fabulous boutique hotel in great location
Reviewed 13 hours ago

We spent 5 wonderful nights at the Hotel Barocco. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and furnished, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of menu, and the bar in the evening was well stocked and comfortable. Of particular note is how welcoming and helpful all of the staff were, and nothing was too much trouble. The advice we received from Daniele about restaurant choices was invaluable. The hotel’s position is ideal for walking everywhere around the main tourist attractions. When we next go back to Rome there is no question that we will return to Hotel Barocco.

4 days in Rome...

Excellent location and charming hotel. Hop on / off bus across the square and within easy access to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and shops and lovely Delicious , Italian family run restaurants
Great breakfast with freshly made omelettes, pancakes etc and superb staff (hi Pasquel the barman 😁)
It is up a side street so no view from our room. Although we booked a delux the room was small with shutters on window so a little claustrophobic. There was also no full length mirror in room or bathroom. We expected a little more from the room. The bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom although again on the small side was well equipped with both an overhead rain shower and a wonderful waterfall shower. There was also a hand shower.
A good selection of toiletries were provided along with robe and slippers.
We also had a fruit bowl available.
.
On our last night we had a lovely note and some pastries as a thank you gesture for staying which was lovely.
Overall a wonderful trip in a great location and genuinely lovely staff. Front desk were helpful and booked any trips, taxis etc with speed and courtesy offering advice and help on our first day to maximise our experience of Rome. Well done!

Affordable luxury!!

Fantastic location overlooking Piazza Barberini, in a central area but no noise at all due to the excellent triple glazed windows. Handy for buses, the metro taxis as pick up just opposite. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel really welcomed. Little nice touches like fresh fruit in the room really made us feel special. When I returned to the hotel with a headache the kind waiter brought me up an ice pack wrapped in a linen napkin, a really nice gesture when he didn’t need to. Spotlessly clean, amazing breakfast, everything you could think of from salmon to pastries and great coffee. The rooms had bath robes, slippers and the whole experience felt like we were treated like royalty. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We went as two couples in our 50’s. Would defiantly stay here again!

Looking for a well appointed hotel in the heart of Rome

Hotel Barocco is so well positioned in a very quite street but within a hundred yards of the Metro line and taxi rank. The hotel is well furnished and has great staff who are so very helpful. Whatever the time they are always ready with a smile and only too eager to assist in any way.
Ite position is brilliant and within easy walking distance of most important sites. The Metro line takes around fifteen minutes to reach the farther afield place such as the Vatican city.

Just perfect

Location: Walkable from the Central Railway Station, central to all the main attractions in Rome (we enjoy walking and never found the need to take public transport).
Comfort: quiet, clean and well decorated
Food: really loved our Breakfast. There is a fresh and varied continental buffet, a choice of every coffee you could want, and a selection of eggs cooked to order. Afternoon tea and biscuits is complementary, which we enjoyed after a hard days sight seeing.
Staff: could not have been more friendly or helpful.
