Very nice.
Reviewed 4 days ago

I booked 3 rooms. 1 that I paid for an upgrade which ended up being the smallest and practically on the street. I still am giving 5* (I would have given a 4 1/2 * but that wasn’t an option) because the room is clean. AC works very good. Staff is friendly. Nice rooftop area. Even though Breakfast was nothing special. Location was a big plus. Near the Jewish quarter not far walk from most sites and it seems the other guests are very happy as well. Would recommend and this hotel was recommended to me by friends as well.

47 Hotel Roma

Fantastic hotel, great service. Best place to stay in the heart of Rome. The hotel staff is very attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast provided with the stay is very good. We did not have a chance to try the Circus restaurant, but plan to on our next visit.

Hotel is beautiful with a roof top terrace overlooking magnificent views of Roman ruins. Within walking distance of the Coliseum. Excellent food and service. Large rooms with comfortable beds and showers.

Rude Staff Plain Rooms - NEVER AGAIN!!!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had an upgraded room. Large in size but nothing to brag about. No working outlets in bathroom or in convenient place in room. Can hear water and movement upstairs.
Upstairs bar staff was slow and rude, downstairs bar was never staffed. Reception girls were RUDE!! Phone in room did not work and bellman and room service kept telling us to call downstairs (can’t, phone doesn’t work. We had to go downstairs to order)Complimentary breakfast was ok. My husband and I needed (for medication)a couple of bites of food for breakfast (not a meal) so I went down and got 3 pieces of bacon and one piece of toast for us both. A young lady chased me into the full lobby yelling “Madam, madam, you need to pay room service!” (For my complimentary breakfast). Needless to say I was embarrassed in front of everyone in the standing room only lobby. I didn’t pay to be embarrassed over 3 pieces of bacon and one piece of toast. Clearly it was worth losing future customers. I also do not pay for staff in every area to be rude and “put out”. I’m not a picky, demanding person and it takes A LOT for me to write a bad review. THERE ARE BETTER PLACES!

Hotel 47 in Rome. Avoid!

Unfortunately this was the worst hotel I've ever been to. The women on the front desk were extremely rude and condescending. One of them didn't even know what some of the major attractions were! I asked her to have the bath cleaned as it was dirty from the previous visitor and she refused saying it was stains. I had to clean it myself. I asked her to book a tour for us, I couldn't do it as the WiFi didn't work at all! She called one company then rudely said, "you left it too late I can't book anything for you." I've never been treated so badly at such an expensive hotel.
Bring your own soap as the shower doesn't have any and it's also the worst shower I've ever used. We also asked one of the women at the front desk to book a cab for us for 9am. She refused and said you have to wait until 4 minutes to 9 to book it. I then asked the gentleman and he did it straight away. Avoid this hotel.
