Sixties-flavored boutique apartments staffed with an attentive multilingual team near the Trevi Fountain
Don’t be fooled by the majestic Baroque façade—the six breezy apartments inside this palazzo (which range from a cozy studio to a spacious master designed to sleep five) are refreshingly modern, with distinct accents like a clandestine passageway, a bedside art installation, chinoiserie wallpaper, and a wicker mirror display in the bathroom that ensure no one apartment quite resembles the other. A staff office helps with any requests during the day (in-room spa treatments, local area recs); for after-hour queries, guests are provided with direct phone numbers of team members. Despite being steered by the group behind two of Rome’s Michelin-starred restaurants (Casacau guests score priority access to both), there’s no restaurant on site, but thoughtful touches like a welcome grocery bag full of eggs and fresh fruit and gratis milk, juice, and coffee infuse just the right dose of home. Families, take note: despite Casacau’s contemporary cool vibe, it offers a range of tot-friendly perks including baby baths, bottle warmers, and bibs.
In the Area
With Rome’s best shopping districts—Piazza di Spagna, Via dei Condotti—in its backyard, Casacau occupies a prized part of the Eternal City. Visitors can get their arts and culture fix at the Trevi Fountain, Palazzo Barberini, or Palazzo Colonna—all just five minutes away on foot. To reach further points of interest, such as the Vatican, hop on the Metro at nearby Barberini. To get to Stazione de Posta, the Michelin-starred restaurant the hotel is affiliated with where the colorful plates are pieces of art in their own right, hop on a 15-minute cab ride to the Testaccio district. Otherwise, take advantage of your kitchenette and shop for local goodies at the Tuo Spa supermarket nearby.
How to Get There
Excellent place, spacious and welcoming. Great trip, perfect apartment to stay in with a baby.
Breakfast dropped off in a bag outside the door. Eggs and pasta replenished daily in case you want a snack. Rome on your doorstep, you can walk everywhere!
though we were steps away from the Trevi Fountain, our suite was tranquil, bright, and spacious. The design was elegant. We even had a steam shower in our bathroom. Waking up to find a bag of hot from the oven pastries at our front door each morning was a treat. The well-stocked kitchen and convenience/grocery stores nearby relieved us from having to eat out for all our meals.
Casacau is a serious find!
we had a wonderful time the apartment was so unique we really felt like we were home and not in a sterile hotel the many original things like;
the artful lighting, bose mini speaker, large ipad to watch Netflix on your account and bluetooth music, the little kitchen surprisingly effective vent, pots and pans, expresso maker, jars of delicious cookies and dry bread, jam, honey little fridge with free milk plenty, every morning hanging on our door know was preselected pastry, rolls and fruit and a lot of them!
plenty of thick towels, modern bathroom, sauna, the antique doors, blackout shutters, huge bed really comfortable updated modern mattress, the renovated apartment a lot of thought and extreme care went into everything! MR CAU should be extremely proud i will highly recommended to all my family
the location was amazing in the heart of it all 2 blocks from TREVI FOUNTAIN the great little eatery's pizzerias gelatoterias the shops supermarket windy little ancient streets i could go on and on, thank you for huge van that took us to airport our huge amount of luggage fit and the gentleman who insisted on putting it in the van
i peeked in the new apartment you are in the middle of renovating on the third floor amazing the work that has to be done breaking open the cement floor to access electrical and plumbing the original ancien bricks behind the plaster wow
The apartment was large, airy, and well equipped. The location incredible for walking around the key sights and the welcome was warm and informative. Overall a lovely place. It could do with more light in the bathroom and the strange wardrobe of 5 hangers on ropes could do with a clothes rail for actually hanging things on. but thats not a big deal.
It is worth flagging how noisy the street below is in case you are sensitive to that sort of thing. People shouting, drinking, having a great time until the early hours. Also street sellers clacking their wooden baskets, singing opera etc. Honestly it was so loud in the front of the property that my daughter struggled to sleep (sofa bed in lounge). This is of course due to location. I am not sure what sort of glazing the windows have - perhaps triple would help.
So all in all a nice spot but beware the noise
Great service, wonderful room and location. Just great👌 Short walk just about everywhere, received excellent dinner recommendations, excellent icecream available also closeby. Loved the little breakfast service😀
