Buzzy, youthful spot on The Strip with good value rooms and a party atmosphere
The LINQ has had a number of name changes over the years (it’s been the Flamingo Capri, Imperial, and Quad) but it was rebranded in 2014 as the LINQ after the then-new LINQ Promenade, the adjacent open-air retail and entertainment district that’s also home to the High Roller, a 550-foot observation wheel—and the name stuck. The rebrand included a major renovation of the more than 2,200 guest rooms, which now have a clean, modern aesthetic, with bedside lamps sporting charging ports but no alarm clocks. It's predominantly a young crowd here—who flock to O’Shea’s, one of the in-house casinos, for beer pong tournaments and DJs—and the atmosphere is lively and carefree: rock blasts at the pool, the spa lets you play your own music in the treatment rooms, and guests can get a tattoo at the in-house tattoo parlor.
In the Area
The LINQ has a central location in the middle of The Strip, but it’s possible to spend quite a bit of time on the Promenade, the adjacent “mini strip” of restaurants, bars, and activities like bowling and a virtual reality experience. From here, it’s an easy walk to the Luxor, New York-New York, the Bellagio or any of the other casinos. Shops selling everything from luxury handbags to “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” t-shirts are within a few minutes of the LINQ – try the Shoppes at the Palazzo, the upscale collection at the Venetian, for brands like Prada, Jimmy Choo, and an enormous Barney’s.
