Second room was perfect

The first room were allocated to was not very nice; situated on the street level with a big window directly to the street. It felt a bit weird and it would have been necessary to keep the curtains closed the whole time for privacy which made the room feel very dark and cramped.
Fortunately for an extra 20 euros we were offered a spacious room with a seating area on the third floor. Very comfortable and well appointed. Loved the ice bear in the shower too!
The breakfast was nice although a bit crowded and you have pay extra for certain dishes.

We stayed 2 nights here and we thought it was great! We had a busy 2 days outside the hotel and it was so nice to come back and feel the day wash away. It’s a lovely hotel, cosy and inviting. The rooms are well set out and everything you need is there. The staff are very friendly and helpful! We ate 1 night in the restaurant (being picky) it was good but I’d definitely go back as everyone has an off day, but it’s a lovely setting and like the rest of the hotel it’s just chilled. We had breakfast 1 morning there and that was awesome!! We regretted not having time the other morning. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for couples or families also as there’s plenty to do around the place. Go see Santa, he’s great! Next time we’re in Rovaniemi we’re staying here.

A Hotel With Personality

The hotel is in the centre of Rovaniemi. The style is is luxury with an Arctic design theme, apparent from the giant polar bear structure outside. The lobby lounge & bar area is full of mock fur and plush cushions, bathed in cool lighting. The lounge area has a relaxed library feel, with books about the Northern Lights & Arctic Nature.
The rooms provide a warm refuge after the vigorous outdoor expeditions sought by most visitors to Lapland. Any initial disconcertment caused by the unusually high beds is dispensed by their comfort, although you might wonder what to do with all those cushions! Lighting is controllable, from bright and shiny to intimate with a starlight effect. The lighting controls emit a slightly irritating glow at night. Bathrooms are darkly tiled and very modern, some with their own sauna, some with bathtubs. Coffee machines, minibar and a safe are in all rooms. There is a charming en-suite self-catering Christmas Cabin in a separate building for family visits.
Toy bears in all rooms will light up small children’s eyes, and the Christmas themes in and around town add the family friendliness.
Highlight of the hotel - Bartender who has a great sense of humour and keeps you enthralled with his great drinks.
