Designed in the style of a modern Moorish palace, it’s a low-rise affair positioned near the sea. Adding another string to its already attractive bow, it now boasts brand new sea-view Chill Out Terrace, while a couple of its impressive array of seven eateries have also benefited from a smart refurb.
Facilities here are wide-ranging and cater to all, so you can be as active or lazy as you wish. With a staggering five adult-only swimming pools, (one heated in winter, another salt water) whether you want to do serious laps or simply float your cares away, you’ll find somewhere to do it.

How to Get There
Booked this hotel on recommendation from some work colleagues but I was apprehensive about staying at a resort on an ‘all inclusive’ basis. Well, as it was my birthday, my wife upgraded us to the ‘Privilege’ package, and what a great week we had! There was a separate reception area, an exclusive lounge and we had a table reserved at one of the on site a la Carte restaurants for breakfast and dinner for the duration of our stay. After check in, we were transported to our room by a helpful member of the team. The spacious room had a sea view (towards Fuerteventura and Los Lobos), a very comfortable bed, decent size TV, sofa, coffee table and a room safe. Nothing was more than a couple of minutes walk on site, despite the size of the hotel grounds. The spa was great on the few days it was a little windy, really relaxing. Superb staff, great location, excellent food and a relaxing atmosphere, it’s all you want on holiday..............isn’t it?
We stayed at the Rubicon Palace at the beginning of March. This was our second visit. We upgraded to Priviledge which was worth paying extra for. Priviledge rooms over looking the sea are amazing. The Volcan restaurant is for Priviledge guests only and the food is amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. You also have your own lounge where you can help yourself to drinks during the day. There are several restaurants to chose from at the hotel. The piano bar has a lovely atmosphere. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Playa Blanca which suited us. You can walk to the harbour and Rubicon Marina from the hotel. We will definitely return.
As a family of 4 we decided on Lanzarote having never been before.
On arrival to the hotel mid afternoon we were greeted with glasses of Prosecco & nibbles while waiting to checking. It was pretty quick Hugo was excellent in explaining everything. Our room was on 6th floor same as reception great views of pools & sea. Great size room, very clean. We were half board which suited us as we like to out during the day. It was a great location with a 15 min walk along promenade to flamingo beach lovely little beach then maybe 10mins more to" Playa Blanca ". We would then get a taxi back to hotel very cheap if you didn't want to walk.
Breakfast & evening meals always great choice of food for everyone & the quality was very good.
You had a choice of 3 different restaurants during your stay which you should book on your first day.We decided to choose The steak house which we enjoyed, OH! Dinner +Show don't bother it was rubbish food awful especially for kids left half way through. Shakura Oriental we didn't like that either very unorganised!
We didn't go to evening entertainment
So cannot comment.
The hotel was beautiful , the weather was pleasantly warm with a breeze.
Lots of pools which weren't used as they were freezing except for children's which everyone wanted to go in. No shortage of sunloungers. Staff very helpful.
We decided to go on the Jet2 trip to Teguise Market a great few hours out. Wifi was available free. Snacks available during the afternoon by the pool.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here & would return in the future.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much
Just returned from 4 nights here. Clean and comfortable hotel with amazing views. Large complex but easily navigated. Friendly helpful staff. Food varied and although the restaurants were busy we always found a clean table to sit at. Lots of loungers around the pool areas and can easily find a quiet sunny spot to relax. Playa Blanca not really walkable but taxis cheap
Excellent holiday, difficult to fault anything. Good choice of food. Comfortable rooms. Plenty of space. A little way from nearest sandy beach. Option of a la Carte restaurants, which can be complementary for four nights for all inclusive.
