A cozy option

We stayed here for a week and when we were about to leave I realized I had felt like in home those days

The location it’s amazing, the staff it’s kind, everything it’s clean and in order

Bad points:

Us, Mexicans, were on vacations and I asume some Americans were on spring break or easter holidays, although that, the pool was being renovated. Such a shame, they lost me there.

Also, they were having this s’mores night all you can eat for 4 dollars I believe, but they made it indoors so it was fully packed. Had to throw my dreams away because the kids overpopulation in the lobby. They should have tried to take advantage of the outside areas (I know, they were renovating the pool, but the BBK area was also closed)

Never the less, the experience was amazing, we even had snow on April while drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies at our living room)

Timber lodge

Great ski trip with my daughter. I can’t say enough about Timber lodge including check in, location and the ease of getting onto the slopes each day. The gondola is outside the hotel door!!

Extremely noisy and very thin walls, inept management

Currently at hotel/ timeshare. The property has been recently remodeled and looks nice however don’t stay here if you want a quiet nights sleep. We are in a room which has an adjoining room next to it with another family in it. You can hear every word they say through the paper thin walls as if the door was open. Management was called twice to ask them to keep it down as its passed midnight said they would send someone up, that person has never come. If you stay here realize noise is a big problem and if you have a noisy family next door it will not be a quiet stay. Staff seems inattentive. Would not rate 4 stars more like a 3 star for timeshare families. In Tahoe there are much better options. I would not come back.

A good property, but smaller than others

We have stayed in Marriott vacation resorts several times and while service and ambiance were to typical Marriott high standards, the room assigned was too small and had some deficiencies not typical. One kitchen drawer almost inaccessible, the refrigerator door not closing evenly and a couple other minor issues. That being said, it sets in a beautiful area of Lake Tahoe and the staff friendly, helpful and courteous. I will still recommend it, but it is not the premier property of other Marriotts.

Spring Skiing at South Lake Tahoe

We came to Tahoe to celebrate our 4 yrs together and upon checking in we were welcomed by a super friendly front desk clerk. She gave us a bottle of cab and bag of Ghirardelli chocolates, wishing us a great stay and happy anniversary. Our room was amazing! We booked the king villa. It felt like home with stainless steel appliances in the kitchenette, a fireplace and whirlpool hot tub. We spent our weekend skiing so didnt have a chance to use everything in our villa. Loved that the ski gondola was right outside our door and the rental shop was within the village. Great places to eat and hang out to listen to live music. It was a great visit. I plan to stay here again!
