How to Get There
Had a one room suite with kitchen. Bedroom fairly small, but was big enough for me. Kitchen was large. Nice size bathroom. Tub with shower. Convenient to restaurants and shops. Parking is very expensive- valet only at $29 per night.
Residence-like hotel with outstanding rooms.
I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite; room was spacious, clean, renovated and quiet. Kitchen is well equipped. Fireplace in both living and master room invite for relaxing time.
Spa is good and offer good services.
Downsize is that hotel does not have restaurant or offer room service; make sure you come prepared or ready to go outside for dinning.
When I booked this property via Marriott reservation system they didn’t explain how I could forget all my Platinum benefits. This because painful when I was denied a late checkout beyond 12:30. Also no room upgrades or other benefits.
The hotel is clean and the location is excellent and staff is friendly.
We had a good stay in the above hotel during the Memorial Day Weekend. The hotel was spacious and really Big with a living room, full kitchen, two bathrooms and a bedroom. There are small beds by the living room if you have kids. The sofa also has a pull out bed. Overall, a family of 2 adults and 3 kids could easily use this room.
Our room was facing the road and right below us there was a rock band playing live music. The good thing is that they stop playing by 9pm as required by Tahoe law.
Waking distance to the ski lift and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
I'd never been to Lake Tahoe before, and wanted to stay at a commercial property. The Grand Residences did not disappoint! I stayed in a Queen, 1 bedroom which had a full kitchen, living room and great eating area. The fully equipped kitchen was great (there was even a crock pot and blender) and made quick meals easy while on the go.
There is a grocery store just across the street. The bathroom was large and well appointed. It even had a jetted bathtub. That might be my only complaint though as it was also the shower and was somewhat difficult to get in and out of.
The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful in figuring out what I was going to do during my short stay here. Yes, there is only valet parking for $29/day, but that's not uncommon with a lot of resorts and getting my car was easy - never really a wait. The valet staff were helpful with directions and finding locations. Also, there are a ton of activities that the resort has for everyone like fitness classes (yoga, etc.), glass etching, guided hikes, etc.
The location is pretty much in the midst of everything, right near the casinos and walking distance to the Gondola (this was closed during my trip so I didn't get up the mountain) and there are plenty of little shops and restaurants all around. My room was on the street side which could be a little noisy at times, especially at 2:30am when people were walking by after being out. I'd recommend trying to get an inward facing room if possible.
I'll definitely be planning a trip back and can't wait to stay at the Grand Residences again!
