How to Get There
We stayed at the property last week for three weeknights and found it to be a beautiful, peaceful resort. I mention the weeknight part, because from what I was told on multiple occasions, the resort is completely different on the weekends. But I can only review what we experienced, and we found the hotel to be fantastic.
We booked a corner suite that overlooked both the lake and the marina. Our balcony stretched around the whole side of the building and was a pleasant surprise. While outside, you could hear restaurant music and folks in the pool, but that's to be expected, and wasn't bothersome at all. I could sit outside all day and watch the boats pull in or cruise past the marina.
The room itself was quite large and came equipped with a kitchenette and washer/dryer. In all honestly, we couldn't get it to work properly, but I'm sure that with more time, we would have enjoyed doing the laundry. The beds were very comfortable, and we had a dual front/back shower that was a new experience for us. Housekeeping did a great job with the room, and we were very pleased with it.
Everyone at the resort was very friendly and attentive. The nighttime desk staff took great care of us, and we enjoyed our morning chats with Cindy at the coffee shop. The pool bar staff also took care of adults and kids alike, and was very helpful.
The pool area was pretty large, with half of the pool on the marina side in the sunshine, and the other half (with cooler water) under cover. There's two hot tubs, a waterfall, and a large seating area. Food wasn't available on the days we were there, probably due to the light crowds, but it looked like pizza and snacks were normally accessible. Boats and jet skis are available to rent right at the hotel, and the staff there was very helpful.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely stay here again on a trip to Lake of the Ozarks.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the room! beautiful view of the lake and the food was excellent at the adjoining restaurant/bar. A very nice swim up pool and i would definately count this as an adult resort. the pool is definatley for adults, with the bar being the center of it.The music and bar across the way, lends to a fun ADULT experience. Not alot for children. Excellent servive, I cannot say enough of the waiters at the restaurant and the hotel staff was very obliging.
I would highly recommend Camden On The Lake Resort as I stayed there recently during the Folds of Honor event. Fabulous accommodations with a huge room and one of a kind view of the lake. I enjoyed the new menu at H. Toad's, loved the shrimp dish and the smoked loin. The service was great! They were very attentive and knowledgeable and the entertainment was over the top!
