How to Get There
Great venue for our retreat. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. Toilet ran continuously, but was eventually fixed. Great location with several lake views. Breakfast was a higher end continental breakfast at Horny Toads next door. We utilized a banquet room that was spacious and adequately met the needs of our group. Different room choices. We had the one king bed with a mini kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher). Our friends had the two full bed room with kitchen and living room. Our other friends had the 4-bedroom suite and loved it. Overall, a great place to stay.
Camden on the Lake was the first place my husband and I visited when looking for wedding venues. We wanted a venue that had a hotel since most of our guests were from out-of-town. Clint Warnica met us in the main lobby for our tour and we instantly were impressed by him. Every venue we visited after Camden on the Lake did not compare and they didn't have a Clint.
Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Clint was always available for questions (I had PLENTY), quick to respond, and always had a smile on his face. He made me feel that I was the most important person in the world every time I met with him and I never felt rushed or that I was bothering him. He was also willing to do everything in his power to give us exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day.
The venue was perfect for our ceremony and reception and the view of the lake was amazing. We used the food services for not only our reception, but our rehearsal dinner too. The food was the best! I had multiple guests tell me after the wedding that the food was the best they ever had and not just at a hotel...but ever! The service staff was also amazing throughout the entire process.
The hotel rooms are absolutely amazing! They were very accommodating and worked with me to give me a great rate for our guests. I also had many compliments from our guests on the rooms. They were impressed with how modern the entire hotel was, the space of the rooms, and cleanliness.
I cannot say enough positive things about Camden on the Lake and Clint Warnica! They helped to make the best day of our lives exactly what we imagined. I would highly recommend anyone getting married (or anyone needing a hotel) to look at Camden on the Lake!
I was invited to speak at a conference held at Camden on the Lake Resort and I stayed overnight as well. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The room where I spoke was well lighted and spacious. The food served to the attendees: lunch, breakfast, etc. was ok...
I am no stranger to the Lake of the Ozarks. Love the views, atmosphere, etc. This trip however, I was there for a conference and with a large group of colleagues.
My husband and I were the last to arrive and were checking in a day later than the rest of the group. We pull in well past 9:00pm on a Thursday. We are greeted by a nice and friendly front desk and given our room key. Off to the top floor we go. We are on the parking lot side (bummer no lake view), open the door and are hit with a foul and offensive odor. WOW!! Not expecting that and a damn shame because it is a gorgeous room! The smell is bad...real bad. We call someone in our group down to confirm we aren't crazy. They show up and agree it stinks. Then realizes that this room was given to another person in our group who requested a new room for the same reason! We call front desk, they sent up housekeeping. She confirms it as well, sprays the room with something and leaves the bottle. Yikes! The smell still lingers. We try everything, opening the door to the balcony, turning on the AC, turning on the heat. Still there.
At this point we haven't unpacked a single thing. We call front desk again. Not another single room to move to. Darn the luck! Four Seasons is booked solid too. Darn the luck again! There is a room available starting the next day though.
Sleeping in this room is not an option, we go down to the lobby and give the room keys back and explain we are just going to sleep in our car for the night. You can tell she is just mortified that she doesn't have anything she can do for us.
Next day, they went above and beyond to make things right. Upgraded our room to a suite, bought us dinner, and offered a future stay as well. Joe is the man! Way to make things right fella. You just don't see customer service like that now days. It was pretty amazing.
As far as the actual facility...top notch. Views are incredible, pool is awesome, restaurant and bar is great, another restaurant is right across the cove, love love love everything about this hotel.
Even with the rough start we had encountered, I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone wanting to visit the Ozark area!!!
We recently hosted our wedding reception for 140 friends and family and, to a person, those who stayed at the resort raved about the accommodations. Spacious, modern rooms with all the amenities. Tile or marble floors and bath, kitchen nook, flat screens, washer & dryer, lakeside with balcony, King bed and queen-size pullout. Great service and super friendly staff. We live at the Lake and think the rooms here are without peer. All our out-of-town guests thought so, too.
We hosted the reception at the Harbor Room in the entertainment complex of the resort. Just the right space for 140-150 guests. Clint worked closely with us to insure all the planning details were met. Chef Tommy provided FANTASTIC food (heavy hor d'oeurves). The bar was staffed well so there were no long lines. John's serving staff
did a great job of keeping the food fresh, the glasses filled and the tables promptly cleared.
No detail was missed or done less than exceptionally. From our first contact with Clint to the last guests' departure this important event in our lives was done with the utmost professional execution. Sincere thanks to the entire staff at Camden on the Lake!
