Fabulous Stay at the Ocean Suites

My husband, teenage daughter and myself had a lovely holiday at the H10 Ocean Suites for 12 nights from 1st August.
We loved this hotel and hope to return.
The rooms are of a good size, my daughter had a double bed (pulled out sofa bed) and she said was very comfortable. We had twin beds pushed together. The room and bathroom were lovely and cleaned daily. We are used to 3 star accommodation mostly in Majorca and quite often rooms in those hotels are cleaned 5 days out of 7. At this hotel the maids clean everyday so this was a novelty for us.
The pools were just fabulous, beautiful, large and plenty of space to swim. At some times of the day were almost empty. My hair definitely preferred the salt water pools to chlorine. There plenty of sun beds and after being used to having to get up very early to have any chance of getting one at other hotels we were amazed to see hardly any towels out at 9.30 on our first morning.
We stayed around the pool that had the animation on as our room was overlooking it and there was lots going on for entertainment during the day. I took part in Aquagym, the animation team were friendly and hard working. Some afternoon they did mini disco in the pool for the children which was fun to watch ( having had many years of mini disco songs with our daughter when she was little).
Such a beautiful place, very pretty and well maintained grounds. Even the gardeners said hello when we walked past.
We enjoyed the food, there was plenty of choice from breakfast to evening meal, we were half board. We like buffet and the chance to try lots of different things together. The salads were lovely. Plenty of meat and fish choices and pasta every night. The quality was good. My daughter loved the chocolate fountain on some evenings. My husband and I especially loved the Lime Cheesecake and the orange and lemon ice creams were also lovely. Lots of healthy options also , fruit, yoghurts with granola etc.
When entering the restaurant every evening we were offered a glass of Cava. This was unexpected and I enjoyed one every evening.
We read that long trousers were required ( on previous reviews) but they seem to change this from time to time. My husband went down the first night to find other men in 3/4 trousers/ smart shorts and the rules by the door currently say for men tops with sleeveless tops are not permitted but no mention of long trousers.
Any extra drinks etc were charged to your room number and we paid the bill on checkout. We did not touch our mini bar contents as were aware on half board these were chargeable and a price list found on top of the fridge. On checking out final bill I noticed a charge of over €5 for some chocolate out the minibar, I disputed this and said we have not used anything in there as knew was to be paid for. This was removed from the bill without question.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I signed up for H10 membership on the website the day before we flew out after reading about it on here and this got us Free pool towels, robes and slippers for the duration of our stay. The pool towels were changeable at reception when required. We changed them twice a week and saved our own towels for the beach.
The hotel is in a quiet street directly off the Main Street and lots of clothes shops and supermarkets just round the corner.

The weather was great, blues skies and hot sunshine everyday. The breeze was nice during the day, I occasionally wore a cardigan on an evening as was often windy.
This was a lovely holiday, having never been to
Corralejo, it is now a rival for our usual favourite Majorca. We will return and would definitely like to return to this hotel.
Recommendations... make sure you have at least a couple beach days at the Grandes Playa.. stunning beach , we got there by taxi €7, and easy to get a taxi back by the hotel from the taxi rank.
Missing the hotel and pools very much ...
We will be back.

Great Stay But Room For Improvements.

Just back from 10 nights super nights at the Ocean Suites with my wife and two kids (8 and 6)

Let’s start with the positives,
Staff were super friendly, pool was lovely and quiet and always managed to get a sun lounger, food was amazing for adults and non fussy kids, hotel in a great location, hotel was always clean. But finally the animation team were FANTASTIC, super with all the children and really helped the quieter children get involved that maybe would have been pushed aside in busier hotels.

We’ve stayed at the H10 Lanzarote Gardens for the previous two years. To compare the two I would say the Ocean Suites is better for a quieter more relaxing holiday, there’s still all the stuff for the kids but I’d just say it’s toned down a little.
The H10 Lanzarote Gardens is great but it’s all Go Go Go for the kids.
The H10 Ocean Suites is far more relaxing and the activities for the kids are super but it’s just more relaxed. It has a more personal feel to it all.

The negatives,
I thought that maybe there could have been a little more food for the little ones (plain pasta or nuggets etc). We have a bit of a fussy eater and she struggled on a few occasions.
My daughter wet the bed one afternoon when she fell asleep on the bed(these things happen). It was the sofa bed for the kids but had no mattress protector on it so the mattress was absolutely soaked. After an apologetic phone call to reception to explain what had happened the maid came. But she only stripped the bed and turned the mattress over, so we still had a soaked mattress and new sheets that were wet.
Either get some protectors on the kids beds (just incase) or please change the mattress if this happens.

These negatives are only minor and would recommend this hotel.

Relaxation at its best

Went to this hotel all inclusive July 2019 with my wife and daughter. Very friendly staff from the moment we arrived, the rooms were basic but very clean. The salt water pool took a little getting used to. The all inclusive package allows you branded spirits and cocktails using the branded spirits . The breakfast, lunch and evening meals had a great choice and every member of staff had a warm welcome and served chilled beer, wine , water or pop throughout the service. There are two pools, each has ample sun beds and there is a bar on each pool.
The location is brilliant, out of the hotel entrance, turn right and walk about 100 yards. The large Burger King signs opposite is your focal point. If you turn right and walk up the road, there is a marker on Tuesdays and Saturdays for all your leather goods. From the Burger King , turn left and walk through the main roads passing a multitude of restaurants, bars. The port is a 20 walk down this road. At the port you can enjoy boat rides and jet skis.
All in all this hotel is so relaxing and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back.
