Old and new come together in slick, suite style at a brand-new and exciting
Fuerteventura abode: just opened in November 2015, H10 Ocean Suites
brings cool and contemporary design to the oldest of Spain’s Canary Islands.
Just a short walk from the sandy, white-sand beaches of Corralejo and the dunes
of its stunning Natural Park, this serene oasis is the perfect place to enjoy the
Atlantic views and the destination’s “quiet isle” from.
with the H10 Hotels group’s chic reputation, this all-suites pad is suitably stylish, with dreamy
balcony views, a fresh and cool aesthetic, and all the modern amenities you’d expect in a four-star stay. Flat-screen TVs and spacious seating areas keep you
occupied upstairs, while the hotel’s extensive gardens, impressive
pools, tennis courts and bars keep you entertained from dusk till dawn.
Hardwood floors and geometric wall tiles set the
contemporary tone in the Junior suites. An abundance of natural light from the balcony and terrace doors adds to their
already generous size, while you’ll have pool or garden views to gaze out on.
produce is the key focus of the menu at the hotel’s buffet restaurant,
which is served up in style with regular show-cooking displays. For
sundowners, you can also pull up a stylish armchair in the lobby bar or
enjoy a cocktail on the poolside terrace of La Choza Bar. Lighter bites
and snacks can also be ordered here.
Justa short stroll from the sandy beach of Corralejo, on what is regarded as the
driest of the Canary Islands, H10 Ocean Suites is a sunbather’s dream. Here, you’ll find an abundance of the
island’s impressive natural scenery to enjoy, both at Corralejo National
Park and Grandes Playas. The nearby port also offers boat trips to
Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos.
How to Get There
We are currently staying here for nine nights. We are half way through our break. The thing that makes this hotel stand out is the service and hospitality. All staff have been friendly, welcoming and wanting to assisy in whatever concern you may have. Nothing has been too much trouble. This for us is the one thing that has stood out from a lot of the hotels we have stayed in previously.
Rooms - we are in a junior suite over looking pool on ground floor. Seconds from the pool and kids club. Rooms are fairly spacious considering they have a double bed and a rollaway sofa bed. Bathrooms are a generous size, no bath but a double shower so perfect for washing down children.
Daily housekeeping if you request with your door sign - this has been so helpful with a family.
Ground floor rooms have a small concertina aired however I think first floors used the balcony to dry towels which is handy.
We became h10 members for free on the website and this meant we got free towel rental, bathrobes and slippers and two free cocktails at the bar.
We are half board and so have breakfast and either a lunch or dinner included. Food is good and plentiful however not amazing. I would not want to be all inclusive and eat all my meals here but HB gives you the option to eat out too which has been great.
Diana at the kids club is a credit to the h10 team. She is always full of smiles and energy and my kids have really grown fond of her. There are activities on in the day for children and a mini disco which my kids have gone along to most nights to burn off some energy.
No coffee or tea in rooms but you can pay 6 euro for this for the duration of your stay which has been great.
Pools are saltwater which has been a bit of an adjustment but absolutely no issue.
I would not hesitate to come back her3 a second time and I am now looking forward to trying out other h10 hotels - if they live up to the standards of this hotel we will be impressed!
Just returned from a week All Inclusive at Ocean Suites and would give a 4.5 if possible.
Arrived late evening to a very warm welcome from the receptionist, a very professional , friendly & knowledgeable member of staff. After sorting us with a welcome drink we were checked in very quickly and supplied with all information we needed to know.
Our upstairs Pool view room was spotless and very comfortable for the three of us and, as requested, was overlooking the quieter pool. Bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned daily.
The sea salt pool was great to swim in and with plenty of sunbeds there was no dawn raid needed to secure a place for the day.
The outside areas are maintained to a very high standard, with staff present every day from early morning cleaning the pool area and looking after the grounds.
The drinks in the AI package included all cocktails and majority of premium brands, although the choice of wine by the bottle for dinner was limited.
Only complaint about the bar was only one member of staff normally on at the pool snack bar, the entertainment bar and lobby bar resulting ,at peak times , in a very pressured member of staff attempting to serve and clear tables at the same time. (Surely you can afford to hire or relocate staff to alleviate this issue both for customers & staff.)
Food at the buffet was always consistently good , with a reasonable choice and served warm.
We had the opportunity to go twice during our stay to the Italian restaurant but only went once as we found that although the food and staff were great the setting was not , hence the half star deducted.
The restaurant was basically the pool snack bar, sitting on plastic seats with a linen runner on the table. We went at 8.30pm and half way through our meal most tables had been cleared completely, including the linen runner, and we were left sitting in the same place as we had lunch in earlier in our swimwear. Possibly full linen tablecloths and chair covers as well as fully set tables could help the atmosphere.
In summary -- staff fantastic, rooms great ,food good , pools relaxing , bars needing more staff and A La Carte not quite there yet.
Would we go back - Yes!
Travelled to this resort for an early summer break. First time on the island and would go back to the resort as it offers something for everyone and to this hotel (which became an oasis) for a week, but not our main holiday.
Clean and well kept.
Room was comfortable
Two large pools which were really clean. One was very peaceful, the other noisier as it was where the activities happened.
Food was ok. You get what you pay for so don’t expect gourmet food when you are not paying gourmet prices! It was edible and lots of choice. Not necessarily what I’d chose to eat each time, but I always found something.
Pool towels are only refreshed twice a week so environmentally friendly.
Staff in the main really courteous.
They have a courtesy shower room that you can book if you have a late flight.
Not so positive
Room was a large hotel room not a suite and there was no ocean view!
Bed mattress was dreadfully hard, but a mattress topper was provided on request
No gym and whilst you can use the one in the Sister hotel across the road it’s €5 per visit
€16 charge per week for the safe! Really irritated by that.
Some branded drinks included but not all so we were restricted to three types of gin yet there were other spirits included on AI that were more expensive per bottle than the non AI Gins, which didn’t make sense.
€15 deposit required for each pool towel yet they were probably worth less than €5?
Far too much plastic waste with disposable plastic glasses used and every drink served with two plastic straws. They should use reusable poly cups by the pool to reduce waste and have water dispensers rather than serving 500cl plastic water bottles every time you request water.
We are currently coming to the end of our one week stay .
We had a wonderful holiday very relaxing and the weather was good.
The hotel is central near all the shops .
You are welcomed with a glass of bubbly which is a nice touch.
Our room was on the ground floor very nice and very clean but a bit dark and had no sun what’s so ever!
We stayed half board the food was very good the evening meal being the best out of the two .
Service was quick and sleek and staff were very nice .
The pools are lovely however the pool bar closed at 5 and the music stopped. We have never found this anywhere where we have stayed before and we have been to a lot of places . Drinks were expensive on the half board.
If you like to sit out On a evening this is not the hotel for you there is a small outdoor decking place where all the smokers sit or you can sit in reception this really lets the hotel down .
Entertainment on a evening was diabolical obviously cheap and the seats were very uncomfortable . Would we go back no! There are better 4 stars out there .
From the moment you arrive and receive a very pleasant welcome and a glass of Cava until the moment you leave, everything is superb. The staff are exceptionally friendly and all take time out to say hello. The food is of a very high standard with plenty of choice.Rooms are a good size and bed(s) comfortable. Shoers rather than baths though. Plenty of sun beds around the two main pools so there is no need for pre-dawn visits to the Pool. Both pools are well sheltered from the constant breeze. Would recommend 'all-inclusive' with the food (and snacks) being so good and good quality drinks including cocktails and mini-bar. Very difficult to find any faults whatsoever.
