How to Get There
We have only had one day so are waiting to see where this finished but it has been a bad start.
When arrived our group were all in different hotels; one of the rooms smelt awful and had damp. However though it took time it all got sorted.
A lot of stuff is closed, casino one of the theatres some of the activities and Brazilian restaurant
A lot of the evening stuff that is open is so fAr away it is not feasible to get on the tram mainly because we have two prams and there is no room.
As the entertainment is so far away with closer things cancelled it is impossible to have evening entertainment.
However this is because we are a family.
The service is outstanding and the staff deal with all the issues as much as they can.
And food is very good and when everything is open this would be great and still is. It is just the issues with the closures making it hard to enjoy evenings
I stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana as a Travel Club member for a week, and I had the best time of my life! This was my eighth time at an all-inclusive property, and it set the bar very high for vacations to come. The best part was definitely the high-quality service. The staff members are not kidding when they say they work for you. Each one I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
The resort itself was very spread out, which meant a lot of walking (we preferred that over the complimentary shuttle they did provide). It took a couple days to get our bearings, but by the end of it, we were pros! They pass out maps too, which help tremendously, and there are maps posted around the resort. The restaurants were nice and the food was overall pretty good. My personal favorite were the Italian and Indian.
Enjoyed two dining experience indian superb restaurant “Bhogali” that is headed up by Chef Siddharta. We had high expectations and were not disappointed. The authentic Indian dishes with a contemporary twist were delicious. The menu is very vibrant and has excellent selections from vegetarian, seafood and meat. Standouts were the delicate baingan ka bharta cornettos, aloo tikki, butter chicken, prawn curry and the slow cooked lamb with chilli and garlic naan. The impeccable service is delivered by friendly waiters.
I loved that they had many activities each day including my favorite, the water aerobics (a big thanks for an awesome, energetic workout)! The highlight of the entire resort was definitely the beaches with the beds. Although the beach itself was a bit dirty, there were grounds keepers there who helped try to keep it as clean as possible. It was never extremely busy, which meant it was relaxing and quiet, perfect for a vacation getaway.
My only complaint is how hot it was in the buffets, which is simply because they are very open. There are fans going, but the humidity is brutal. This simply comes with the area itself, so it isn’t the resorts fault, but something to keep in mind.
We had amazing service from the Guest Services team. They were always readily available, helping us make reservations and giving us tips about the resort and island itself.
The icing on the cake was the Bhogali experience. It is worth a journey to the Dominican Republic.
I very much enjoyed my holiday at the palladium, the pools are great, the staff are friendly and especially the entertainment. We've had an fantastic honeymoon and have been looked after really well. I would definitely recommend it! The rooms are clean and very big, plenty of room and the bath was massive. The bars are great and fantastic places to meet new people.
Chilling by the pool was our favourite activity on this holiday, and was made more entertaining by the animation team. They introduced new games with prizes for the winner, danced and made sure people had lots of fun. The entertainment staff were very impressive especially Indiana, Freidi, cherry, moises, samuel, margarita, poco Pelo, la flaca, Roberto.
The a la carte restaurants serve delicious food, and if there is sometimes a wait to be seated it is worth the wait. Try to book in to the Japanese restaurant when you arrive as seats are limited and it is definitely somewhere that you want to go
We have had such a relaxing holiday at the grand palladium. Our junior suite was very spacious and comfortable with everything we need and the cleaning staff came every day.
We were impressed with the variety of food on offer in both buffet and a la carte restaurants, and there were plenty of drinks options too.
We enjoyed some lovely strolls on the beach, but were unable to swim due the amount on seaweed that washed up - despite the resort's efforts to clean it away more came.
Because of spending little time at the beach our days were spend at the pool. Staff at the pool bars are very attentive and work extremely hard - especially in the 'bavaro' pool where service was always given with a smile and a joke.
We were impressed by the entertainment staff (Freidi(Piano),Margarita,Indiana,Poco Pelo,Samuel,Black Sugar,Edileini,La flaca y Roberto ) at the 'palace' pool which meant we moved between the two.
The room was very clean. bed sheets and pillow covers was change everyday as requested. The transportation was very poor around the resort. The need more trains to get around the resort. Most the trains was dedicated to the Travel group. Waiting time was almost 30 minutes on many days. Please improve your trains around the resort and treat everybody equal.
