How to Get There
We are a family of 11 and this is our third year in a row visiting this resort. What is great about this resort is the same staff are here year after year so you get to see the same people. Happy (Simon), Ugery, Adrien and Maribel (pool waitress) are the nicest people who made our stay great.
We reccomend if you can - upgrade to the premier room so you can go to the lounge - its a great place to hang out and it has better drinks and snacks.
Constructive feedback - rooms could use a refresh and there is seaweed on the beach. Also check in could be a little faster.
Overall we reccomend this resort - the pool and people make the experience.
Arrived home this morning from our family holiday staying 29th of June to 13th July 2 adults 1 child of 12. Were concerned about our stay after reading some of the reviews but we had no need to be. Our holidays was amazing.
Welcome drink at check in and no hassle of being asked to upgrade to preferred club. Cases were taken to the room for us. Yes the room was slightly dated but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Mini bar stocked daily.
The pool is huge and never felt crowded. The pool is split into 2. The top part nearest reception is the quieter part and the bottom part nearest the beach is the entertainment pool. We would go to the top pool about 8.30 and had our pick of loungers. We even came out later one day about 10.30 and still had the pick of the loungers. Can’t say if it’s the same at the entertainment pool. The entertainment staff never pressured you into anything just advised what activities were due to start.
There is a swim up pool bar at the entertainment pool. Carlos and Caeser worked tirelessly day in day out. There are always pool waitresses asking if you wanted drinks. Juana was our favourite.
Never stuck for anything to eat as the world cafe had choices to suit everyone and we enjoyed the a la cartes. My daughter and husband loved the sea side grill steakhouse, Kefren was the best. Portofino had something to suit everyone. Himitsu was my favourite but we waited over an hour both times we visited and I was disappointed we couldn’t get the teppanyaki tables. I queued at 5 to put our name in for the teppanyaki table to be told I had to come back later then when I returned at quarter to 6 they were full for the whole night. Personally I think there should be an advance booking system for for these type of tables. Coco Cafe was my daughters favourite and the girls there work really hard.
We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary when we stayed so Larissa made sure our breakfast in bed and sparkling wine and fruit were organised and a banner on our door. Also want to mention Ana Pena who was always checking everything was to our liking and if there was anything further could be done.
Overall the staff couldn’t do enough for us and were always polite and courteous. Never had anyone trying to sell us timeshare. The stall sellers are there a few nights a week selling jewellery and paintings but if you say no thanks and walk on they won’t hassle you.
Will definitely return.
This resort is beautiful! Theway the landscaping is matched to the pool is stunning. The pool goes the length of the property - so it is not one big cement area crammed with people. Depending on where your building is, there is a pool in front of it.
There were a lot of restaurants on the property and they were pretty good. outside of the buffet, the portions were very small with limited vegetables at lunch and dinner. There could be more servers at the pool areas so drinks can come before they are starting to melt.
The resort could use some upgrades in a few places, especially the rooms. I personally do not like extra throw pillows and decorations on the bed because they are never cleaned - so those should be eliminated. My room had a sofa that was also neglected and could use a cleaning. Hopefully Dreams will see this and begin to make the investment on those things.
The service was excellent, sometimes a bit slow - but always polite, courteous, and professional.
Booked this on a whim 10 days before we left. Had a wonderful experience! Perfect location on beach. Loved the kayaks, paddle boards and catamaran! We did the preferred service which was definitely worth it. Had a few kinks with the room location and housekeeping, but had a super time. If you prefer a more family experience ask for a room away to the pools. Very loud by them. Would definitely return!
One of the best, with full palm trees into the resort, no many resorts are these wonderful landscape
They has 5 huge pools. The staff are very kindly, the cleaning is OK.
Location is into one the best, because in left of the resort it is a large palm tree forest near to the beach. It is s great palm tree forest, romantique, calming, with a tuquoise water, etc. Each day I was 1.5-2km for amazing pictures, swiming and relaxation.
The restaurants are beautifull. The food are tasting, various cuisine (mexican, italuan, french, asian, etc.). The food are tasting because they has a good Chefs. Who has knowledge into the french or italian will found the best taste. Also you will found the grill area to the beach abd other place with burgers, hot dog, chilli con carne, etc.
The Pool Bars deserved all the cocktails/drinks what you need (pina cola, daquiri, etc etc). The minibar is part of the all inclusive.
The area is very safety, also near to lng the palm tree forest. The local people are very kindky, and I discussed hours with them.
