Currently at the resort as a thomas cook customer. I have been given a letter from management on the day thomas cook collapsed, stating i have to get written confirmation from the caa that the bill for my abta protected holiday will be paid. If i do not get this, then on check out i will be required to pay $1,881 for each room. I have two rooms and both letters. I have been trying to get through to the caa for three days with no reply. I have e-mailed them and still waiting for the reply. The stress we are under due to these letters is unbelievable, when we should be relaxing.
From the moment we arrived i new we were not going to have a good experience, as we were wrongly taken to vip to check in! We have been given two rooms on each end of the resort, so seperated from each other. One of the rooms was not cleaned for four days, and is still waiting for the fridge to be given beer after daily requests. Our other room we have to ask for beer on a daily basis. The only place on resort to get specific premium drinks is at the main complex and themed dining. Not the pool bars. I have personally had to wait to be served after local customers even though i was before them, but as a decent person i just wait. Even though i know it is wrong to be treated differently. I have personally asked to speak to a manager and have been refused as i did not have an appointment! We have not had a good experience or felt comfortable and able to relax, we are waiting now to see what will happen when we check out! That is not a good feeling to be worrying for the rest of our stay through no fault of ours.
We have no support, i have tried.
This is an edited revue as dreams resort complained to trip advisor about my original review containing second hand information. So this review contains nothing but our personal experience whilst still in resort.

The best holiday!

I came to dreams on the 12th September with my boyfriend for 10 nights. Honestly, I cannot explain how perfect the holiday was from start to finish. Every member of staff was friendly, they all say hello and ask how you are doing!

We were greeted with champagne at reception when checking in, we were taken to our room which was in block 4. The only negative I had was it was slightly dated and a little damp, however, we are in the Caribbean so what can you expect!

All of the food was perfect. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, everything! Great variety. The best restaurants in my opinion were the Asian, french and steak. At breakfast a lady would make fresh smoothies and they were delicious! Definitely can recommend the omelettes too! The buffet is amongst the best buffers I’ve been to, for sure!

The drinks were good, range of cocktails and spirits. The bar in reception has a lot of branded spirits, so we spent a lot of time there in the evenings. We were served almost immediately at the Pool bar and swing bar!

The entertainment staff were the best by far. Events everyday, never a dull moment. Such a happy vibe. However, if you didn’t want to be involved you could sit in a different area. You don’t have to get involved. Activities ranged from a Mexican themed lunch and dance show, volleyball, waterpolo, canoeing, darts, dance lessons and so much more. There was even a beach party! And the shows in the evening were brilliant. Such a talented group of people who really tried to make your time perfect. It rained for 3 days of our trip, however they still made it so fun! The rain didn’t ruin it at all.

The spa and gym are also very good! Had a great couples massage which we got a really good deal on the hotels newsletter. So collect that in the morning near the buffet. Also try to do Yoga on the beach, it’s perfect.

We went on a day trip to Saona Island which we booked through Amstar, who worked downstairs in the hotel. They were brilliant and very informative. I’d do that trip 100%!

I’m 19 and my boyfriend is 22, we met so many lovely couples on this holiday who all loved their time too. The reviews I read before coming to this amazing hotel, couldn’t be further from the truth. Enjoy your holiday there.

Great service and treatment. Staff was amicable and diligent. The hotel offered great variety in terms of food and drinks. My favorite thing was the pool; due to its size there was plenty of space for everyone without feeling crowded.
