How to Get There
Dreams Punta Cana is most definitely the resort you would want to stay at during your trip to Dominican Republic . The suite that I stayed in had the most comfortable beds and provided a nice view of the pool, cleaners were very respectful of my privacy only cleaning the room when I gave the ok to do so. Although room service wasn’t always as prompt as it could have been, the quality of the food that I was able to get delivered to the room was exceptional .
Throughout the day the entertainment team would dance, host events such as volleyball and football as well as skits and theatre productions in the evenings. Generally speaking the entertainment team were very friendly and actually took the time to get to know the guests. However two people in the entertainment team which I could really vouch for and see that they was being genuine, enjoyed what they were doing and performed exceptionally well was Corazon and Pucca. In terms of the restaurants available on the resort you have about five or so restaurants all of which were quite pleasant to dine in. Overall I will give this resort 4/5 stars and I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Just returned from Dreams with my wife and two kids. We had a wonderful at Dreams and would definitely return again. The one thing that was a negative was our excursion to Catalina Island with Amistar. Firstly when we agreed to go I said I would come back the next day to finalize, but that didn't stop them from calling our room at 6 a.m. and then 8:00 a.m. to make sure it happened. We were picked up at 7:10 a.m. the morning of the trip and had to take a bus to another bus. We were promised a glass bottomed boat which wasn't the case. We stopped to go snorkeling for about 15 minutes before we were prompted to get back on the boat to leave. The boat was overcrowded with very few seats in the shade. Once we arrived at the island the chairs were mostly dirty and some broken. Other tourists arrived within our first 1/2 hour there. The lunch was subpar as everyone made a mad dash to eat. The line was 50 people long and certain foods ran out, so if you casually made your way to the buffet, chances are you missed a few choices. There was no sports activity as promised besides more snorkeling with nothing to see on the beach. This cost us over $400 and was really the only bad part of our trip. Don't believe the sales reps for Amistar. They will promise you the moon to get your money. I'm not saying another company would necessarily be better, but try to learn as much as you can.
