How to Get There
We had a fantastic time last week at Dreams Palm Beach. Would highly recommend taking advantage of the preferred club option. Tennis lessons were great, the food at all restaurants was very good. No shortage of chairs available at the pools and beach. Scenery was beautiful and the grounds very well kept. Rooms were always cleaned and turn down service at night was a very nice touch. One thing that’s really wonderful about this resort is that it’s pretty compact, you can easily walk to any area, no long hikes from your room to anywhere else. We will definitely be returning to Dreams Palm Beach!
Just returned from a fantastic stay at Dreams Palm Beach with a group or 28 people.
This is a smaller resort and the grounds were immaculately maintained. It is easy to navigate and everything is within a short walk form any room. The beach was beautiful with white sand and the seaweed was minimal. A crew was at work daily to clean up any seaweed that washed ashore.
There were plenty of activities and contests at both the pool area and on the beach. Guests earned “funny money” from the activities and could use the money to participate in auctions held every Tuesday and Friday at 5:00 PM. Items for auction included rum, Mamajauna, t-shirts, free activities (parasailing, banana boat ride, and snorkeling) and artwork. One day they set up a floating water slide course covered with soap in the pool and had movies on the beach every night. The nightly shows alternated between the theater and outside stage near the pools. We really enjoyed the circus and magic show. Wednesdays they have a foam party on the beach and rotate Karaoke and Beach Party every other Sunday. There was also nightly music played outside the main lobby with dancing. We never made it to the Disco that opened up at 11:00 PM. A special shutout to the Entertainment Team of Willy Wonka, Beyonce, Mimi, and The King for making the events so much fun!
We booked our trip directly with Carmen Torres via the Dreams phone reservation system. She was extremely helpful and I highly recommend her. Our group had 14 rooms and everyone was happy with them. On person had to change rooms do to some fresh paint, but the front desk was very accommodating with the change. Celia the room reservation manger made sure we were well taken care of. The second room was perfect. The rooms were clean, the maid service was very good and the mini bar fridge was stocked daily. I stayed in the preferred section and had turn down service nightly. I really did not use the preferred services as we spent all of our time with our group in the main part of the resort. AC worked great and the rooms had no musty smell.
We ate breakfast at the World Café every morning and usually stopped by the Coco Café for coffee before breakfast. Super Junior, Francis, and Santa took care of us every morning and reserved a table that accommodated 14 people (along with fresh flower petals on the table). They delivered us Mimosas made with pineapple juice every day without asking. Their service was outstanding. We had a large group for dinner one night and Super Junior surprised us with a platter of seafood that was not on the buffet. The extra detail from the serving team was over the top. We ate lunch most days at the Barefoot Grill (very good burgers) or at the pool where they cooked different items poolside ranging from Paella to tacos to grilled steaks. All of which were very good. We ate dinner at the Seaside Grill twice and we were taken care of by Manauri. His service was the best I have had in my 9 trips to Punta Cana. He was able to get us some ceviche as an appetizer even though it was not on the menu (usually served at lunch only). The steaks and seafood were outstanding. Our next favorite restaurant was Himitsu. The chef Viktor put on a spectacular show that included one of our friends going behind the grill and cooking for a while. Ask for Viktor’s table if possible. We also ate at El Patio (Enoc was a great server), Bordeaux, and Portifino. They were good also. Finally we hit up the late night snack service at the World Café for individual sized pizzas.
We had great service from Jessica in the Lobby Bar every evening and Edwin took great car of us poolside. You never had to walk far to get a drink and they had a good selection of liquors.
We used Punta Cana mike for our transfers and everything went off without a hitch (6 shuttles inbound and 5 shuttles outbound). Emanuel did a fantastic job coordinating the transfers, ever ting was perfect upon arrival and they were a few minutes early for the airport return. Communication was excellent. I highly recommend PC Mike’s transfers.
A perfect trip and we will return in the future.
The best thing about this place was the staff support. The head of outdoor activities--whose name I don't remember right now :(--was everywhere and ever-polite. The same for the rest of them. They move from one duty to the next...from serving drinks to being the entertainment to leading water aerobics....with so much capability AND cheeriness. I'm not fond of hedonistic places like all-inclusive resorts, where so many people never leave the pool or the poolside bar. (Why bother to leave the U.S. then??) I came here for a destination wedding. And I was so gratefully surprised at the quality. Don't miss the beach freebies like the hobiecat (fun!!) and kayaks and paddle boards. And for heaven's sake, get into the water. The ocean water!!
Dreams Palm Beach provided a relaxing care-free experience when I visited for my nieces wedding. The food was excellent. The variety of food items at the World Cafe buffet was astounding. Himitsu also was a wonderful experience with Japanese cuisine. Finally and most importantly the wedding of my niece at Dreams was a memorable experience.
Great food, service, and entertainment! All the drinks at the bars were awesome. The beach sand was very clean and calm. Entertainment team, especially Willy Wonka, made the trip exceptional. We would definitely recommend anyone to come and visit Dreams Palm Beach.
