How to Get There
Overall a great time ,Amazing staff ever met, Francisco Reyes outstanding service, very respectful and entertaining at the same time. The food was great and drinks everywhere, beautiful beach. It is a place to visit to have an unforgettable experience
My family and I stayed as preferred members and had a wonderful experience. We payed for the preferred club which was worth the money. The separate adult pool was the perfect spring break experience for us to relax and have quick service at the bar.
The staff was very attentive and added greatly to the experience, particularly the chefs at Himitsu made the trip extra special. One of out servers Romeo was a delight.
The resort is perfect if you are looking to escape the young party-goers and spring breakers but still have fun. Moreover, we had no problem finding chairs at the pool and beach however storage space was minimal.
My wife and I spent two weeks at this hotel at the beginning of March 2019.
We found it to be a great hotel, the grounds are very well maintained by the staff. The resort is very clean and tidy. We upgraded to the Preferred Club, which gave us access to all five à la carte restaurants, the large World buffet. We also had access to two Preferred Club lounges and the adult only pool area.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful, a special mention to Emilio at the adult Preferred Lounge.
We found that the food at the resort could not be faulted. There is always a good selection available and prepared to a very high standard. Our favourites were the French and Seaside Grill.
We would not hesitate in booking a holiday at this resort again.
The resort is overall very nice, however the rooms are in need of an update. My husband and I had no space to unpack our suitcases or put toiletries, etc. On a two week vacation, it's annoying to have to dig around in your suitcase all the time. My husband's suitcase was opened up on the table, resulting in even less space. Other than that, the bed was comfy, our maid Carmen was very attentive and our mini bar was stocked with lots of water daily. The food is good, although we didn't care for Himitsu as much. Seaside Grill is great, World Café has lots to offer and Coco Café is always good. People put towels on the pool chairs throughout the night/early morning even though they are not at the pool, so walking around looking for chairs every day wasn't ideal. On two occasions, staff members did find chairs for us, which was much appreciated. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff at this resort are very excellente! Everyone seems happy in their jobs and are very friendly. The activity staff are especially engaging and fun. I did wish there were bicycles available. Overall we enjoyed our trip!
The resort itself was very nice. It's older and is showing some age but the property is in good shape considering its on the ocean. Restaurants were good and better then I expected.
We did the Preferred Club because we liked the perks of top shelf drinks and a separate pool area and private check-in. The private check-in was a disaster. The guy who met us there said he worked for the hotel, and we later found out he worked for the Vacation Club(Time Share Sales Group). When we arrived at Private Check-in, Orlando the guy from the Time Share Sales Group took over, asking us to fill out all kinds of forms. Seeing that we filled most of this out when we booked the reservation, I couldn't understand why he had us doing this. Some of the questions were related to income and family info. We were tired from flying and just wanted to start our vacation. Then he starts with the free breakfast for listening to a presentation that we can leave at any time. This is an all-inclusive resort, breakfast is always free. For this, he will give us extra vouchers totaling $400 dollars and a tote bag and spa credit that we can use all together and have a free visit to spa. None of this was true. Finally we sign up for the breakfast the next day which is a sales pitch, then a tour, and then the pressure sell in the room and being treated like crap for not taking it and wanting our free stuff. We were promised a fruit basket and bottle of champagne by Orlando for being Preferred Club and we got 3 apples and some really nasty champagne. BTW we were never allowed to leave early, and were made to stay in a room in a restaurant till they could find the manager to try and sell us again. In the meantime, the rooms they gave us were not in the preferred club beach or pool area, they were in another building across the resort. One of our rooms the AC didn't work and after 5 phone calls they moved us. I later found out that Preferred Club buildings at Beach and Pool areas are for all of the owners in their vacation club and not people who booked preferred club. The top shelf drinks at pool and pool bar were awesome, but the Preferred Club Beach was full and was very hard to get lounge chairs. I thought the preferred club was a waste of money. Orlando the VIP Host who was not so VIP Host never showed his face again after everything. I found out that he gives kick backs to Preferred Club staff to let him poach their people. I tried to talk about this situation with the Managers upon leaving the hotel, and they were in a meeting and too busy to speak. They didn't seem to care or know how to handle customer service. I called Dreams corporate and also emailed and never got any responses. I won't return to this location.
