How to Get There
This hotel was amazing. The grounds were well kept, the food was pretty good and the drinks were great. The pools were awesome and there was so much to do. All the staff is very concerned about making your stay great and everyone was so nice.
Two complaints: the spa and the seaweed. My mom and i got massages and she said it was the best massage she has ever gotten. I on the other hand wish I could remember the name of the woman that gave me mine. I got a 50 minute massage and for at least 20 of those minutes she sat next to me not touching me at all. She must have been on her phone or something because she didn’t do anything for quite a while. For the money I paid, I am extremely disappointed.
The seaweed is horrible. I know there is nothing they can do about it, but I want to make sure people who are trying to plan a trip down here or can cancel can do that. It is so horrible right now, both me and my mother have been throwing up for days.
Don’t get me wrong, the island is amazing, the hotel is amazing and please please please if you can come when this seaweed mess is over DO IT!
We stayed at the Dreams Palm Beach in the beginning of July and came back last week. The resort was nice, however, there was a lot of seaweed at the beach and therefore, made the water unclear and murky. We did go on two excursions which were a blast. One of the excursions we went on included snorkeling and the water at that particular island was clear and an ombre blue. I believe we went to Seona Island after snorkeling and it was beautiful. Our second excursion was zip lining and "the blue hole" which is called Hayo Azul. This resort has a buffet and everyday that we went to the World Cafe, Luis Nieves was ALWAYS attentive, friendly and fun to talk to. Luis made our experience even better and if we ever come back, we hope to see him again. He is by far the best waiter this resort has and I hope he gets rewarded for how welcoming and friendly he is. We truly felt like he was our friend while we were in Punta Cana and shared with has that he has 2 young children, 5 years old and 2 years old. You can definitely tell that he's a people person and loves his job. Thank you Luis, we appreciate you! -Michael and Katie
Wonderful vacation for my husband and 9 year old son. Lots to do! Glad we upgraded to preferred status. Clemente at the rusty nail was superb as were his associates Willa, Perdro, and Marco. We would definitely return.
We visited Dreams Palm Beach from 6/26 -7/03 and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The resort was great and the grounds are clean and nice. The pools were wonderful but the beach was not good due to the seaweed and not very clear water. The World Café (buffet) was really nice for breakfast and lunch. Every night we had dinner at different restaurants: Seaside Grill, Bordeaux, El Patio, Portofino and Himitsu (Japanese) were great. The "Coco Cafe" was the best place to drink coffee all day, we enjoyed it.
The staff at this resort are the best, everyone is friendly and courteous. I want to say thank you to Belkis Robles in El Patio, Noemi Vargas in the World Cafe, Maria in the Portofino, Olvi Ortega In charge of the towels in the pool and Pedro Nunez at the Veranda bar. The Gym was great, my husband and I worked out daily. The entertainment team were friendly and all of the events are fun an entertaining. We enjoyed the Magic Show, 70/80s Show and the Dominican Show. We did the preferred package, however, it was not worth the money. But, I highly recommend the resort and would come back again.
Amazing, the staff is so friendly the grounds are beautifully kept and landscaped. The entertainment staff Simon, Jose,Edna, Manaury were Excellent!! The bartender named Ambiorix made me the best drink and kept them flowing as my husband and I celebrated my 50th bday. Will definitely recommend and will come back again.💕
