Just arrived home from 2 weeks mixed reviews had great weather only rain later in day
Stayed in Dominican many times so can compare hotels. Rooms in need of a face lift showers not good some nights cold water one night had no pillowcase on bed, not so great maid service twice didn’t get room done no robes or slippers in room, beach not relaxing shame about seaweed poor guys did there best but ended up like a demolition sight with cleaning machine up and down all day got use to that as a little to warm around pools. Staff mixed reviews mainly friendly Santa on beach and little trainee on beach excellent musclie Juan in restaurant not forgetting pizza man at lunchtime great guys, not so great breakfast staff a little extra training would help, no acknowledgement we were on our honeymoon and I did message before we arrived no answer!! Food excellent very poor service at steak house in sister hotel think they forgot our order waited for ages for main course, drinks great don’t think we would return

1. Very nice property well maintained grounds
2. Staff was good or great to deal with (except the sushi chief by the beach. He was straight up mean. He was upset that my fiancé asked for a California roll. I thought it was funny but I thought there was going to be a rumble on the beach)
3. Entertainment staff was fun.
1. Had an up graded room on the first (3604) had a funky mildew smell. I was thinking the AC filter was in desperate need of changing.
2. Restaurants way to hit and miss... Breakfast is hard to mess up however dinners way to inconsistent. Send a steak back 3 times to be cooked.
3. Time share/ vacation club people everywhere constantly asking you to “go visit the most exclusive resort Pearl” blah blah blah..!!

I will not visit this resort again. I feel you can find better for the money.

This location is very nice if you are looking to escape the world. Very quiet and not over crowded. Food was good for a resort. Service was adequate, a little slow but overall good. Loved our suite that included our own pool.

Not what we expected

All In All the Resort is nice but many things went wrong from the moment we arrived. We paid for the privileged upgrade prior to arrival which is supposed to give you a private check-in and welcome drink not only do we not receive either what our room was not ready when we arrived and it was well after 3 p.m. . We waited for almost an hour until finally forcing them to let us in our room so we could change clothes and go to the pool it was near five before our room was actually ready. Most of the staff was nice but there were some you could tell did not want to be there. The food was okay nothing to jump up and down about I've definitely had better but we were able to find things to eat that were okay. The resort itself is beautiful but does need a lot of repairs a lot of areas near the infinity pool the tile is coming up and very dangerous. The beach is nice they do their best to keep it clean only issue is people hogging the beds and chairs without even being there. It's ridiculous to wake up at 6 a.m. and put a towel on a chair that you do not intend to occupy until lunch time. We made the best of the week but definitely won't be returning to this Resort without some type of Correction of these problems.

First Time in The DR and All Inclusive

When I read the reviews of this hotel they were so mixed that I was a bit concerned, but no need to be, I only have given 4 stars as this is rated a 5 star resort, it's a good 4 star but not really 5.

The bad bits

transfer from the airport was not good we waited on a hot minibus for nearly 45 mins before leaving, this was not the hotels fault but some selfish passengers who decided to go shopping.

Seaweed yes there is seaweed on the beach but the hotel really goes out of its way to clean it every day and they do an awesome job.

Some noisy very drunk guests, but there's always somewhere quiet to go to.

Hot water sometimes loses pressure but it's usually fixed in a few minutes, your on holiday with nowhere to go so just chill and have a shower later.

The good bits

Staff are great and really look after you.Last Saturday a group of us Brits wanted to watch The cup final in the bar but it was not on any of the channels, so 4 members of staff plus The IT guy got involved the managers tablet was screen mirrored to the tv and a guests Facebook account used to stream it live, the staff spent a lot of time and effort to ensure a few guys got to watch The match, thanks Ruben for sorting this.

The food is good and plentiful.

Tapas, Thai, and vegetarian are fab
Thalassa and Sea Blue are good
On the other side the Rodeo steak house is good but they tend to over Cook the steaks so order it one leveldown and you'll be ok
Tepanyaki was Ok not the best I've had nor anywhere near the worst, but the chef is entertaining and funny, but they cram a few more people in than is comfortable.

Pizzas are good.

Overall we are very pleased with the food, we are still here for another few days and plan to visit the Italian and the Yuca restaurants.

When we booked we were allocated a privilege suite, the room is good and everything works, but I'm not sure what the real advantage of privilege status is, you get to use comfy beds on the beach but these are near the bar and it is noisier so not to our taste.

Overall a great and relaxing holiday, if you've booked don't worry it's great here, but if your one of the fussy complain about everything types, Just stay at home and moan.😀
