How to Get There
Arrived four days ago and I there’s a few comments worth mentioning.
The grounds are beautiful. Well maintained. Trolly cart makes everything accessible. The resort tries to accommodate as much as possible.
Wifi - there isn’t any unless you’re in the main lobby. Main lobby wifi was down one night. You can rent a mobile router. Routers are first come first serve and it took me until today to get one.
Food - the kitchen staff are warm and friendly. The food is okay. We’ve been to the steakhouse and the Chinese restaurant. I wouldn’t go back to either. The sea bass at the Chinese restaurant was mushy. So gross I could not eat it. The Japanese restaurant was impossible to get into. The buffets are delicious. Great variety. Staff are wonderful.
The entertainment is wonderful. They try really hard.
The Gardenview room is okay. I really like the look of the bungalows though. I wish I rented the bungalow. The room staff are great. Clean rooms smell like bleach everyday.
Do not get roped by Royal Holiday presentation. Scam for sure. Wasted 2 -3 hours of my time. Trust me. Stay clear. Google it. I wish I did.
The beach here is beautiful. You need loads of sunscreen. Bar, buffet restaurant and grill are all close to the beach.
Pools are nice and warm.
My daughters came down with dizziness and diarrhea today. I feel ill too. Not sure if it’s the sun, food or flu but Imodium was 24 bucks American. I hope our excursions booked through Sunwing can be postponed without a hitch.
I Got a good deal on this property so this is why I stayed here, however this is not a 4.5 star mostly because of the age of the property. Maybe some people with less travel experience would be happy but the property is too big to meet other like minded people. You may have a good time if you have kids, are a senior, or if you are a red neck. I will say that, the staff is nice, the food is good and the entertainment isn't bad.
This is not a party place.
My clients are always happy with their stay at the Bavaro Princess. Lovely resort and beautiful beach! Staff is very accommodating, restaurants are wonderful and the pools are fabulous. I would highly recommend this resort!
I recently stayed at this property on a very last minute solo trip. I generally don't write reviews, however, the staff was so kind and helpful I had to give them a shout out! I won't bore you with the details but on separate occasions Freddie (concierge) and Ada (hibachi restaurant) went above and beyond to ensure I had good trip. The grounds were well kept, the food, drinks, and entertainment were solid, and the beach was gorgeous, however, I imagine that one can find that at most other all inclusives. The helpful staff is what I will remember and I why I would consider returning.
We have visited the Dominican Republic since 2001 , both Puerto Plata and Punta Cana,
and I must say our recent trip to Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort, spa and Casino is probably the best we have ever booked.
From the moment we set foot on the resort we had a fantastic time.. the resort is beautiful with lush greenery, wildlife, and a little ecofriendly area.
The Suite we stayed in suite 346 was litterly 50 yards from the beach , buffet, and pool .
It was the nicest room we've stayed in DR so far.
The food was great, we ate at the main buffet mostly and received the best treatment from the staff.. We fell in love with Alba De La Rosa and Reynaldo and Claritza and Tony, they really really made our stay so awesome.
The Spa was great , the shows were ok, could use a bit more variety but they were good.
Lots of walking if you want but they have trolleys running all the time .
I would return here in a heartbeat.
