How to Get There
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a short getaway from the bustling city life. Price of the accommodation is on the high side but given the privacy and peace that you get, I think its worth the penny.
You get to cycle around the place for free, there are recreational activities daily that will fill your time and make you forget about what is happening back in the city. I did the paddle boat, archery and table tennis just to name a few.
I stayed in Vana Villa which has a downside of having ample of bugs in the room if you do not turn off the lights of your toilet and close the door. Also, if you are not able to accept showering outdoors, Vana Villa may not be for you. You might feel insecure showering with nature outside the villa. Otherwise, thumbs up to their team managing the place!
We had a few bad moments towards the end of our stay. We had to post our bad reviews here, as we were so frustrated that the matter was not handled professionally like a 5 star resort should be. However thank you Ms Muji and Ms Angeline for rectifying the problem, we had since deleted the post. So here's our review, we had a wonderful stay. We even extended our stay. it was unplanned and we had to work the next morning, but we paid for another room anyway so we can come back to it in the evening. We stayed in Jala room and Amani with private pool. Water in Jala room was quite rusty and we had a jacuzzi filled with "orangey water" .however the view in the morning was heavenly. Kids love feeding the fish and bird watching. Amani room was awesome too. Thanks to the staffs at recreation center, Mr Fendi, Ms Ain and others whom we missed your names. So many things to do around the resort. Hope to be back soon.
My family was in Mangala during a long weekend. The property I must say is nicely appointed in a palm oil plantation. Great concept for total relaxation. However we felt the customer service was poor. Many parttimers. Dilutes the price we paid and the intimacy we expect from such a price.
The breakfast buffet had flies everywhere. Food was uncovered most of the time.
Staff seemed tired and worst...the GM was away during this busy weekend.
We will come back but not at this price!
