We spent, for the second time, a week here. It was just great. The resort is beautiful, the service is beyond expectations, the breakfast is delicious and the room is spacious and luxurious.
I highly recommend this place for couples who want to spend a quite vacation by the sea.

Pros:
Food,
Location,
service,

Cons:
The pool could use some renovation

We highly recommend.

smiles and services

It's a great hotel. Especially the staff smiles and service were the best among the hotels I have visited. The staff noticed even if I did not say what I wanted. The hotel is not new, but has the kindness to return to our home despite visiting for the first time. Because it is a small hotel, the restaurant is not crowded. The restaurant staff also have a nice smile.
I will definitely visit again.

poolside is cool.wind is so good!

The BEST resort I have stayed in!

I am so grateful to be part of the Nakamanda family. Celebrated my wedding anniversary here for 3 nights and I had the most wonderful and memorable experience ever. Miss Pasika who is the Front Office Manager was my first point of contact upon making my reservation via email. She has been so amazing and patient with my queries and requests. I booked the Honeymoon package and everything went smoothly. From making the reservation, airport transfer, booking of tours, breakfast/dinner, spa...everything was perfect! Thank you so much Pasika, for the beautiful room, facing the sea! At first she informed me that all the sea view villas have been fully booked but I was surprised that I got a sea view room and my room was decorated very beautifully as well! Feel really grateful. The villa room was also spotless and the housekeeping staff always maintain the cleanliness and they made up the room frequently (at times twice a day). Every night, the staff will put a Good Night note on the bed. It truly made my day, each time i came back to the room after a day out. Such a kind gesture by the resort And not forgetting, the beautiful private beach in the resort itself. It was truly a Gem! Enjoyed looking at the beautiful sunset in the evening. Also, the candle light dinner which I had was really romantic and delicious!! Many thanks to your Muslim male staff (forgot his name) for arranging Muslim-friendly dishes for me and my husband. I want to thank each and every staff of Nakamanda Resort for their kind and helpful service in making my stay a perfect and memorable one. ALL the resort staff are kind, helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back!

Oasis on the beach

We just left Nakamanda after an enjoyable stay. We were treated very kindly by the staff from the first moment we stepped on property. We booked the honeymoon special, which included many perks that we found to be worth the price.

The room: we had a hydro pool sala villa and enjoyed having the extra private patio in the back. There are even ceiling fans on the back patio so we were able to enjoy time outside without getting too hot. The bathroom was nice, with ‘closet’ space for each of us to have our bag on and hang some clothes. The bed was comfortable. Really, no complaints.

The pool/beach: The recliners by the pool allow you to also enjoy a beach view, so you can be comfortable, waited on and still see the ocean. Cold glasses of water were brought to us once we had been sitting for a bit. The pool and ocean water were both so warm that it was easy to get in and out, so we enjoyed random dips in the water throughout the day. Each set of chairs has an umbrella stand, making it easier to stay in the shade of the hot sun.

The restaurant: We found the western food pretty poor, BUT the Thai food was exceptional! Breakfast was decent, a good spread, something for everyone.
Part of the honeymoon package was a Thai Set Dinner and Sunset Cocktails and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were very good. The dinner was a feast and we were treated like royalty. There was only one dish, the curry, that was too spicy for us, and honestly we were so full at that point that it didn’t matter (we had already been served 5 dishes!). We were happy we skipped on lunch because we were able to enjoy this amazing meal.

The spa: We had a 2 hour couples treatment as part of the honeymoon package. The first hour was a little unusual for us: 15 minutes in a steam room followed by 30 minutes covered in cucumber lotion and then wrapped in thick plastic. The second hour was a normal full body oil massage. All in all, we enjoyed it and the staff was very nice and professional.

If we come back to Krabi, we would definitely visit Nakamanda again! Thank you!

Exactly what we wanted.

This was our belated Christmas holiday as we can not take off work during the actual holiday season. I had three requirements when selecting a hotel in Krabi: it had to be small (less than 100 rooms), right on the sea, and under $200 a night. Nakamanda was really the only place that fit that criteria. It was a very good choice.

The one area where Nakamanda really excels is the staff. Everyone there was absolutely wonderful, from the drivers to reception, the pool to housekeeping, and at the restaurant as well. Really personable, genuine, kind service. By the second day, everyone remembers you to where you don't need to give your room number at breakfast or when requesting for something at the desk. I cannot say enough about how great the team is.

I had originally booked the lowest category Sala Villa Lower Floor and we were upgraded to an Upper Floor that had a lovely view to the water. It was a good sized room and what really set it apart was the bathtub with a skylight. Well, they call it a skylight when it actually is the whole ceiling that is a window. It was pretty cool taking a bath and looking up to see the Super Moon.

One of the reasons why we suspect we were upgraded is because of the stairs to climb up to the villa. The whole resort is on many different levels, and while I think it was a bit overdramatized by other reviews, if you have even slight mobility issues, it would be a very big challenge. Or even if you get sunburned or hiked up to the summit of Wat Tham Suea......ouch! But it wasn't an issue for us and I in fact quite enjoyed walking around the resort.

Yes, it wasn't perfect.....I found the bed to be way too firm, the smaller pool that has jets seems to be out of order, it's a bit worn around the edges.....but it didn't detract from the experience. On a side note, Mother House, the restaurant right next door, has some of the best Thai food we've ever had. We'd go back just for that.
