How to Get There
The place looks like paradise It is very quiet and peaceful
Special mention to Pa at the reception desk. She spent time helping my son to find a Grab driver after he left his phone battery in the car.
My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at the Nakamanda. Of the 3 resorts we stayed at while in Thailand, we received the best service here. As mentioned above, there were definitely some things lacking, as the resort and more particularly the pool could use some updating but the staff more than made up for it—especially the staff at the restaurant and pool. We were treated so wonderfully during our stay and felt right at home. The rooms were nice & comfortable and the food and drinks were good as well as priced right.
One of the days we opted to take a long tail boat with one of the gentlemen out front of the restaurant (Beau?) and we are so glad we did as it was our favorite part of the trip.
My only con would be the staff at the front desk, they weren’t as accommodating as the other staff members and sometimes it felt like a bother to help us. However, the check in was fine and quick.
I definitely would suggest staying here!
We visited this hotel in November 2018 for our honeymoon. The hotel is located on a quite road and as you can see opens right on the beach. We arrivd here in a taxi form Phuket where we were staying in Westin. The hotel looks very well maintained and the staff is quite friendly. The staff noticed the Heena on my hand and asked if we were on our honeymoon, which we informed them that we were. We were given welcome drinks and the receptionist quickly helped us check-in. We had booked the Sala Villa but were hoping that we could get an upgrade at the hotel(which we offered to pay for) to a room with a plunge pool. But sadly we were told that non of the pool rooms are available. We were hoping to enjoy the beach view from our room and that wasnt possible either as we couldn't get the one closer to the beach. However, the hotel provided us with a bottle of champagne and decorated the room for us.
We had a bit of an accident where I accidentally cut myself on some chipped wood on the floor and we called the hotel desk for medical help as I was bleeding. The staff was quick to respond and even sent someone to fix the floor to ensure that no such incident happened again we also got a visit form one of the mangers who offered us a free dinner. I was quite happy with their quick response.
The restaurant of this hotel is right on the beach and one can have a nice relaxing time while enjoying the meal. However, sometimes the afternoons can be really hot and one would prefer a closed-in area to dine with AC.
The breakfast spread was quite good and the general lunch and dinner menu were also really good. The best thing I ate here was the coconut Crème brûlée.
The beach is quite decent and one can go for long walks along it during low tide. There is an island right accross from the hotel where you can walk to during low tide. My wife and me did not try the spa here unfortunately but we had a good time during our stay.
Few things the hotel can look onto.:-
1. I ram into a Monitor lizard on my first day and it was a bit scary to know something like that is roaming around. Might wanna ensure that it's curtailed.
2. There were some creepy crawlers in out room and my wife who is scared of lizards just couldn't relax after seeing there was one in Our room.
