How to Get There
I couldn't have picked a better place to start my honeymoon. The pick up scheduled by the hotel was seamless had a person pick us right up without any hiccups. Once at the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome. Although our rooms weren't ready, they offered us their pick up to the market to roam around. Once back they had our room decorated and Sarah at the front office was a delight along with the lady (whose name I never got to know).
Large rooms, Great views, an awesome pool, a bathroom made for kings. Absolutely perfect.
My only grouse would be the breakfast, rather the restaurant in general- the food was tasteless.
We were on a 7 Days trip to Thailand and chose Phu Petra for the stay in Krabi. It was our first anniversary and the hotel staff did not leave any stone unturned to make it memorable. Extremely few veg options but the staff made some veg breakfast on request which was really great, its like 10 mins from Ao Nang Beach and the best part is they have free shuttle every hour which saves a lot of money as Tuk tuk and taxi is bit expensive . The staff members were so warm. I would highly recommend this place , room was big and staff was really accommodating. one of our best stays.
Welcoming staff who showed you to your room, whilst your luggage was taken via buggy, beautiful room which was huge & the bed could have fitted 4 people in , the bathroom was enormous too & had a great powershower , everywhere was spotless & clean , breakfast was good . The view of the mountains each day was stunning. About 5 mins away from main road hourly shuttle service provided , didn’t attempt to walk in the heat & tuk tuk Cost about 100 bht back . We originally booked 4 days & was moving on but found it so peaceful here extended our stay & glad we did . Be warned if it’s your bday they sing happy birthday at breakfast to you , lovely touch all be a bit embarrassing at 50 !
First of all we had a villa and the rooms were really nice and big even the bed was comfortable. We had lunch there and it was just awful. The food was cold and did not taste nice at all. The breakfast was lower then average. But I did not expect anything after the horrible lunch. The staff just seem to be there but not very service orientated against their guest. We waited for the room to be ready thinking our luggage would have been in the room already. We had to tell them and call reception until it came after 20 minutes. The hotel is a bit far to walk to ao nang beach but they provide a shuttle. Pool is nice although from 1 pm all beds are in shade.
In general, this is a safe and quiet hotel. A little disappointed in that the hotel is definitely over priced compared to the value offered. Beds are pretty hard and not comfortable, there is a big language barrier in terms of communication and the breakfast was not that great. While the hotel looks dated and in need of remodeling, it is set in a beautiful location with mountain backdrops surrounding the pool. The pool itself is nice, but the chairs and cushions are old and the BUGS are pretty bad. They could either do a better job at spraying for insects or guests just need to prepare with bug spray. Overall I'd say this is a 3 star resort and a bit over priced.
A few tips:
-Take advantage of the free shuttle from the resort that runs every hour to Aunong Beach
-For a taxi/motorbike back to the resort, negotiate somewhere between 100 - 150 bhat
-Take a long tail boat over to Railey Beach via long tail boat
-Explore the sunset cruises
-Stop at 7Eleven, Watsons, or Family Mart and grab alcohol for your room
-If on a long trip, there are several places in Aunong that offer laundry at 35 baht per kg which is awesome
