How to Get There
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, though it's a bit inside from the main road, where in we can't just walk and come back at night, but the hotel provides bus service to Ao Nang beach both to and fro without any charges. Also the staff is humble and friendly and provided all the information regarding the stay and city tour. Both the room and bathroom are spacious. Bathroom even has a gigantic bathtub. As I preferred veg food, they asked us in advance on the food preference and made sure vegetarian food was included in the morning breakfast. Overall had an awesome experience staying here.
Have just arrived home from Thailand and a 5 night stay at Phu Petra. The hotel itself is in a lovely quiet tranquil area but still really close to Main Street and attractions of Ao Nang
The hotel offers a regular shuttle service to the strip and drops you just short walk from the beach
We were greeted at check in by the lovely staff and given a cool drink and biscuit while check in took place
Our bungalow was beautiful very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also really big with shower and bath size of a jacuzzi
Breakfast was nice
Plenty of choice and fresh fruit and great views of limestone cliffs and pool while have morning coffee
This was perfect for us as we didn’t want to be directly in centre but still wanted to be close enough to go in and out
Would definitely recommend this place and if in Ao Nang would stay again
It’s really good resort...it’s quite far from Aonang beach beach but the accommodation is really great ..good services and good staff. It’s 20 min walk from The town. I will recommend to book resort.
We booked here for 10 nights from 1st January. There was unfortunately a mix up with the booking and we were informed by our agent a few days before we arrived that the first night was double booked and we were offered a night in their sister hotel. We were very disappointed but in fairness to them, they booked us a suite in their sister hotel, transported us to and from and when we arrived back on the 2nd Jan they upgraded us to a pool villa - a suite with a large sitting room, the biggest bed we have ever seen and an enormous balcony overlooking and about 10 steps from the pool, which certainly made up for the initial disappointment ! It was room 122 and on their hotel map its the fourth one along on the right.
Aside from that, there is a lot to love, firstly the staff and in particular the hotel assistant manager Ms Thanyaporn, who spoke very good English and could not do enough for you. She booked restaurants, a cookery course and was on hand all the time to deal with any queries. It is a pleasure to serve you was often the response to our thanks which was so lovely and felt genuine. All the staff welcome you, ask you about your day etc and are so warm and friendly. As its a small boutique hotel you really feel like you are getting a very personal service.
We loved the decent size pool and the views of the mountains are spectacular. As its a small boutique hotel its possible to sometimes have the pool to yourself and there was thankfully none of the towels reserving beds at 7am antics!
The breakfast was good, had hot Thai dishes as well as British offerings like toast, butter, jams, cereals, pastries etc as well as an 'egg station' where they cook to order. We like to eat out so didn't try the on site restaurant so cant comment on that. One thing to note is they DO serve alcohol which was a plus for us. We found out from others staying at different hotels that some hotels in the area don't.
The shuttle service into town every hour is very useful, though we had a motorbike so did't make full use of it.
It was perfect for us to stay in what felt like a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the main Ao Nang drag but close enough to get there and back in a few minutes.
The only small improvement would be some cosmetic painting around the pool area and steps to the main building but as this didn't detract from or affect our stay I haven't marked them down.
Would highly recommend a stay here and we would return.
A very special start to our holiday. The view over the pool as many day is spectacular. It's a peaceful retreat from the business of Aonang. Staff are wonderfully friendly. Rooms spacious. Decor is a little faded in places, a bit of painting required round the pool, but the beauty of the place far outweighs these little things. Highly recommended and this value too!
