How to Get There
This is not so much a review, but rather a cautionary note to anyone that has reservations here between now (Oct 29) and Dec 16, 2019. My new wife and I booked our honeymoon back in January via expedia. The reservation was for Nov 30-Dec 6. 2019 A few weeks ago, I read on some forum somewhere that the Amari Vogue had closed for renovations that were due to be completed on Nov 1. Knowing that construction projects are not usually completed in time, we were nervous, so last Friday, we sent an email to the resort to confirm our reservation and make sure that the renovation work was going to be complete. Three days later, we received an email back informing us that NO, their reopening had been pushed back to December 16 and that they would be unable to honor our stay (which was booked way back in January). They stated that a full refund would be issued and that they would offer assistance in rebooking with another hotel. Since we had originally booked (and PAID) on Expedia, I immediately got on the phone with Expedia customer support. They were unaware of the hotel closing. They assisted me with a refund and with rebooking to another nearby resort. Thankfully there were still good options with less than a month to go before our reservation. But I am shocked that we did not receive notification from the Amari Vogue prior to ME sending an inquiry about this. I mainly want to write this in hopes that people who have existing reservations between now and Dec 16 (and perhaps beyond) double check their reservations. I can only imagine what would have happened had we not checked several weeks in advance? I'd like to know if Amari Vogue intends to proactively send out notification of this to the people who have reservations. This was our honeymoon and there's no telling where we would have ended up staying had we not checked...
Best place to spent for the newly weds, however food options for indians were not good at all, specially the vegetarian menu, but honeymoon arrangements were good and its a serene place. A place where you can actually relax, sitting by the side of sea as there Private beach was amazing, complimentary massage and candle light dinner was amazing..
Visited Amari for our anniversary stay. It is an Awesome property. We were greeted nicely at the reception with a welcome drink. Complete tour of the resort was given while they escorted us to our room. Room was very clean and spacious. Washroom was big and clean. Property has there Pvt beach and beach front restaurant. Buffet breakfast was good too. It's a bit away from the mainstream Ao-nang area. But totally worth the wait. Highly recommended.
