How to Get There
This is a nice family resort the swimming pools are nice . Although the rooms seem a little old and we had issues with bathroom flushing systems in both rooms they were resolved . Hotel is a bit away from aonang beach and most restaurants . Child friendly and kids below 12 eat and drink for free . Surprisingly having so many indian tourists they don’t have indian restaurant or chef to take care of vegetarian or vegan diet needs . Overall nice stay .
Just had a fabulous 7 night stay in a beachfront Bure #505.
We were a group of 10 adults and treated superbly from stepping off our transfer boat to our final day stay. We enjoyed all the meals we had at the resort and the staff were always very helpful. The food was better than expected and the chef we met Sakarin, is very talented and so sweet and thoughtful. There were many staff who helped make our stay 10/10. ‘SO’ the lovely buggy driver who was always smiling, even at the end of a long shift. POKY and MUI always happy and ready to help with anything we asked.
POMME and JOEY, part of the fabulous food and beverage team were always going out of their way to help and so enthusiastic in their jobs.
The cooking class at Sunset Bar was an activity we would recommend. We booked a private one for our group.
Plus just chilling around the infinity pool with cocktails at the Sunset Bar is a holiday highlight.
We did a couple of long boat trips to other places, like Maya Bay and Bamboo Island, definitely worth doing.
The little general shop at the resort sells tonic water, good to know if you bring your duty free gin for pre dinner drinks on your balcony overlooking the water.
Would love to bring our family back sometime. Thank you for helping us make our holiday memories unforgettable.
Transfer from Phuket to Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi by the Speed Boat which takes approximately one hour and 10 mins is a breeze as opposed to Phuket Ferry transit of 3 to 3.5 hours. However, the return trip costs for Speed Boat transfer is 4200 THB per pax while the Phuket Ferry costs only about 1200 THB.
Staffs of Holiday Inn Resort displayed great professionalism.
Room provided was excellent. We are especially thankful to Ms Afu who solved our accommodation request which enabled us to enjoy our stay with great satisfaction.
Recommendations from Water Sport Center for snorkelling options enable us to make sensible decision to book a longtail boat to snorkel at Bamboo Island in view of our tight schedule.
At The Sunset Bar, the staffs were just as excellent and attentive while the view for sunset can be awesome.
Overall, you cannot go wrong choosing this resort for excellent services and a wonderful and memorable stay.
Came with another family to the Holiday Inn for two nights. Our private boat ride was very rough since it was raining that day. But once we got here it is gorgeous. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow and had the beach almost to ourselves. There is a lot of coral and cool fish right off the beach which made for great snorkeling. The resort provides equipment. The breakfast buffet is very good and staff is very friendly. We loved Pomm! They are adding more bungalows to the hillside. Definitely go up the hill to the Sunset Grill to the other infinity pool for a view of the other side of the island and sunset. This is an adults only pool. But brought the kids up to the bar to see the view. Our A/C and WiFi worked great. Definitely recommend for a couple of nights since it’s very remote but we enjoyed that part.
We arrived to Phi Phi island expecting the best experience but instead we got a medium resort which can be approached only by boat (problematic during the rainy season), the rooms were very outdated and dirty (we even asked to change the room once we arrived), the water flow in the shower was weak and the wifi connection very bad.
The good thing was the food (including breakfast- a lot of good options), also the private beach was nice but not maintained good enough in my opinion.
