Beautiful resort, run down rooms, unprofessional staff
Reviewed 2 days ago

We were at this place last 2 days.Impressed on arrival and the location until we saw the rooms. We had booked the bungalow which was not close to what was seen online.Rooms were screaming for maintenance, torn shower curtain, drawers wouldn’t open, chipped mugs and lousy service.
We requested for a room change which the hotel agreed to but at an additional 3k baht which was not fine by us. Rooms of similar price range were equally bad which they told us and only the new wing was available at an incremental
Cost.

Carts took ages to arrive, staff was unprofessional and food was pathetic

In short,a completely over priced property !

You can get to the hotel from Rassada pier by ferry but I would recommend taking the hotel shuttle which is more expensive but faster and cleaner. In Rassada pier they have a room with AC, wifi and drinks while you wait for the ferry. Once on the island you will be picked up by small boats. The hotel is very well located, close to many islands where you can snorkel and dive and you can arrive before the tourists who come from Phuket so you can enjoy the islands without "many" tourists. You can take a motorbike taxi for 100 bath per person or walk 20 min trough a beautiful track to a small town were you can take dinner, massage or buy some gifts. Rooms are beautiful and clean, maybe the bathroom faucets need some reform and mosquito net in the bed would be appreciated. WiFi it’s working very good in the whole hotel. The breakfast is very good and varied. You can do snorkeling in the hotel's beach and the hotel will give you free snorkel equipment but only if you use it on the beach or on your excursions with the hotel boat, but you can not take it on your own. The beach is wonderful but should be cleaned more often because it is common to find broken glass in the sand. Sunset bar has very nice views, the pool is open until 18:00. Very friendly staff. They have one bar with live music every evening. Very good hotel, possibly the best one on the island.

Could be great!!

This is our second stop on a 3 week tour of Thailand. Spent 6 awesome days in Karon Beach at the Hilton Phuket.
Elected to take private transfer arranged by HOLIDAY Inn resort. The driver was on time but for some reason decided to drive the long way through Patong beach. We barely made it on time to catch the Speed Boat!
Arriving at the Hotel. The staff are extremely nice and very accommodating! Took a little bit of time to check in due to slight concussion of rates. “Make sure your brochures!!”
Hotel grounds are very nice and clean. I would have given this hotel 5 star Rating BUT Unfortunately the ocean front Bungalow we are staying in has seen its better days! It requires major renovation and some deep cleaning!
Dead Mosquitos on walls are not eye appealing and the furniture lets just say my 88 year old dad could build them better!!
For the cost per night at this hotel I would expect a bit more. They may have put us in an older room because of the promo rate we got when we made reservation.

Really nice, worth the money

My husband and I visited the resort in October last year. Upon arrival, we were informed we got a free upgrade and got a Coral Seaview studio instead of a regular garden bungalow. We did mention it was a special occasion when making a reservation but we didn't expect to get such an amazing treat!
The room was lovely, with an amazing view. I loved the balcony we spent some wonderful time there. The outdoor bathroom was quite something too!
The room was always clean and neat.
We really enjoyed the breakfast served in the restaurant. There was a big choice of products and I really like yhe option of an omelette made to my liking by the chef. There were also some freshly squeezed juices which were phenomenal.
The pools were decent sized and never overcrowded so that's a plus. Free towel to pick up at the pool were handy too.
All in all, great stay. Highly recommend it.

Paradise -3 day visit with another couple

Arrival at hotel was fun - came off ferry and boarded a long tail boat to take us to the hotel, as it was low tide so a tractor needs to take you from the boat and transports you onto the island itself. The hotel sorts your cases so you just need to worry about yourself.
Food is very pricey here at the hotel but a short (less than 5 minutes) walk down the beach brings you to some food shacks which were very reasonably priced and food cooked in view so you can see what’s going into the meal.
Beach was amazing especially with the coral reef being just in front of the hotel so boats are constantly pulled up with people snorkeling, they are not brought onto the beach tho so it still remains private. No problems getting sun loungers and towels were provided free of charge. The hotel rushed the beach daily to keep it looking pristine, yes there are broken bits of shells and bits of coral, but it is a beach so that’s to be expected. The sea is clear and you can see the fish swimming around.
Rooms - we were upgraded to a sea view bungalow which had a gorgeous view. Cleaned daily and fresh towels bought. Hotel uses environmentally friendly products which is good.
Staff - were very helpful, but sometimes at breakfast you hadn’t finished eating and they were taking your plate away. Most spoke some English, (but I don’t speak Thai) so it can be seen both ways - they still try and sort everything out and the manager is at hand to step in and translate.
Trips - we hired a long tail boat from a guy just by mama pings massage. He charged us 1500 baht to hire the boat between 2 couples and he took us to maya beach (400 baht entrance fee to use the beach) then onto Loh Samah bay where he provided snorkeling equipment (the fish were amazing) we then went onto piles bay where we went swimming off the boat and then past Viking cove and onto monkey bay which was a definite experience as the monkeys jump off the trees and onto your shoulders to see what food you have.
Nightlife this is a quieter resort and not suited to someone who likes to party, but the hotel does put singers on each night which were very good.
Wildlife - the frog chorus was amazing each night along with the sound from the crickets and bats, geckos are everywhere even in the rooms sometimes but are harmless and more frightened of you.
Altogether this trip is definitely one that I won’t forget - it was like paradise, the weather does play a big part in it but I would definitely recommend staying here.
