Nice resort on the beach

Great resort and location for this side of the island! The staff was very friendly! I wish the pool was a little bigger though! Drinks were resort priced but they allowed you to byob to the pool and beach! The Rum Fire restaurant on property was very good too. We would recommend this resort!

The most amazing place

We have stayed in quite a few Sheraton Hotels but this hotel is the best ever. The staff, the amenities, the service have been exemplary. I had my birthday at Rum Fire Restaurant and everyone went out of their way to make it very special, from the waiting staff right through to the Chef. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough.

I wanted to like it

We love the Sheraton on Maui, and enjoy most Sheraton/Westin resorts and hotels.
But this one needs work.
We are SPG Gold (currently Marriott Platinum Elite), and although we were staying on points, I would have expected better than a 2nd floor, parking lot view room, in the one building that has yet to be updated.
Front desk people all had different ideas about what perks we got, if any, for our status and for being timeshare owners. Probably partly due to the recent SPG/Marriott merger, but still...
The room was okay. Outdated, with a tiny bathroom and small lanai. You could see the ocean if you stood on the lanai and looked left. Otherwise, it was just the parking lot.
Construction was going on, and at least they didn't give us a construction view room. Although you could hear the noise sometimes. Especially early in the morning.
Staff was okay. Not as friendly as on Maui.
Overall, just meh. But maybe after they finish construction and upgrades, it will be nice.
We spent the following week at the Westin Villas in Princeville, and that was so much nicer.

Total relaxation

Loved location of hotel. About 5 minutes from shops and restaurants. Easy to access main road. Comfortable rooms. On property restaurant was pretty good. Had outdoor seating with fire pits which we enjoyed after dinner.

We came here as part of our 20th Anniversary trip. From the minute we arrived we loved it! Lei greeting, Aloha as we walked to registration. Pre registration for our room and someone actually called when it was available! We received free chocolates and a voucher for a bottle of champagne, which we used to make mimosas! We were in the new ocean wing, 2422 on the 4th floor ocean front. We opened the door and our breath was taken away by the amazing view! Couldn’t get any better! Every single employee we have dealt with has been very friendly and helpful. Love the waitress we see for breakfast at Lava’s every morning. I am vegan and she has helped the chef to create me breakfast to my liking. Btw, it’s a full breakfast menu, my husband had something different every day. The pool is wonderful, the hot tub is large. They have fire pits and plenty of beach. You can rent cabanas or, like we did dual lounge chairs with shade that come come up or down, right on the sand. Rum Fire restaurant has a daily happy hour from 5:30-6:30. Across the street at the plantation, there is a restaurant and bar that is very cool. Relaxing and tranquil. We reserved 2 tours with the help of the concierge and tour specialist. Blue Hawaiian Helicopter, which I highly recommend, I assure you it will be better than you expect! We also reserved a tubing tour down the canals of a sugar plantation. It was a fun experience. Actual in water time was only an hour. Tour guide was great. Low key.
Mahalo Sheraton for making our Anniversary special 🍾
