A remote retreat on a gorgeous island near Phuket, with a welcome drink, a cocktail and a yoga session
Sometimes the most heavenly destinations are off the beaten trail. That's definitely the case on the sleepy Koh Yao islands, reachable in less than an hour by speedboat from Krabi or Phuket. These virtually untouched islands offer secret beaches, lush landscapes and incredible vistas.
On one of these dreamy islands, Koh Yao Noi, you'll find Paradise Koh Yao. Tucked away in a rain-forest reserve on the remote northern tip of the island, this boutique hideaway is designed in an easy-going, island-chic style. Luxurious accommodations, impressive facilities and no shortage of hammocks and daybeds make this destination the perfect place to relax and recharge.
And there's no need to worry about being too far off the grid. You'll enjoy two exquisite restaurants, a beach club and a laid-back bar offering live music. Fill your days with kayaking trips, Thai cooking class, yoga and meditation sessions or treatments at the spa. And if that's not enough for you, we haven't even mentioned the best part: the private white-sand beach with mesmerizing views of Phang Nga Bay.
It doesn't get much better than the accommodations at Paradise Koh Yao, with lovely tropical-chic décor and stunning views. Each studio features an open-air living area with an inviting swing, as well as a semi-outdoor bathroom. The Superior studio starts you off at 580 square feet, while the Jacuzzi studio provides a bit more square footage and a private Jacuzzi on the deck. The Plunge Pool Deluxe studio is the most impressive, with 667 square feet, stunning views of Phang Nga Bay and a private plunge pool to cool off in.

There are also two bars to enjoy: The Beach Club, which also serves snacks and Italian ice cream, and Sundowners, which hosts live music in the evenings.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more ideal, peaceful location for a spa. Set in the jungle, this soothing sanctuary features a waterfall plunge pool, an herbal steam cave and a number of private treatment salas. Yoga and meditation sessions are held daily on the beach.
