Overview

Romantic island escape with 24-hour butler service, full-on ocean views and a dramatic cliffside restaurant

The Lowdown

Located on one of the most beautiful (and private) beaches on an island known for its beautiful beaches, Silavadee Pool Spa Resort is secluded, romantic, and exclusive. It’s a mix of rustic, back-to-nature simplicity, and high-end creature comforts like a French spa and 24-hour butlers who can arrange anything from island tours to private beach barbecues. The 80 rooms and villas are spacious (starting around 500 square feet), and almost all of them have private pools with aqua-massage chairs or Jacuzzis, as well as bang-up ocean views.

In the Area

The island of Koh Samui, or Samui as locals and regular visitors call it, has a history that spans more than 325 years. It was discovered by backpackers several decades ago, but since the 1990s it’s become a present-day sophisticated enclave of excellent spas, dining and nightlife. The Big Buddha Temple is its most famous landmark, and the 40-feet-high golden deity is visited by devout locals as well as tourists. The hotel can also arrange private long-tail boat tours to the Five Islands to see caves, beaches and bamboo houses perched on high limestone cliffs, on islands that were until recently completely inaccessible to foreigners.

Our stay was wonderful. Great resort to relax with the staff in particular excellent, friendly and very attentive. We had a pool villa but also spent time at the infinity pool and the beach. Lots of free beach activities including snorkelling ane kayaking as well as a schedule of activities (classes etc.) We would definitely recommend this hotel without any doubt! Thanks for a great stay.

We had our wedding on 6th Nov. Everything was excellence from the check-in experience, all guests who attended the wedding got a room upgrade! Variety breakfast option, don't forget to try their fresh orange juice! During the wedding day, Khun Su, the wedding event manager, and the team were very professional, our wedding turn to be exactly as we discussed with no worried, canape and dinner was excellence with outstanding services, we had a lot of compliments from the guests.

Have just returned from a 5 night stay at Silavadee and had an amazing relaxing time. We stayed in a tropical pool villa which was another level of luxury, being able to step outside and straight into our own private pool was a massive draw! Even in the odd rain shower! The hotel is an idyllic hideaway and all of the staff are helpful and really do go out of their way to make your stay truly memorable. Chaweng and Lamai are near, (the hotel run a shuttle service) taxis back (or use Grab , like Uber) are easy to find. Useful convenience store at end of the road too with some decent restaurant options though food and drinks venues at Silavadee are varied so you need not venture anywhere else.
Would highly recommend and will return, and would also like to thank Tak and Aon for their friendly breakfast greetings each day!
