Overview

Romantic island escape with 24-hour butler service, full-on ocean views and a dramatic cliffside restaurant

The Lowdown

Located on one of the most beautiful (and private) beaches on an island known for its beautiful beaches, Silavadee Pool Spa Resort is secluded, romantic, and exclusive. It’s a mix of rustic, back-to-nature simplicity, and high-end creature comforts like a French spa and 24-hour butlers who can arrange anything from island tours to private beach barbecues. The 80 rooms and villas are spacious (starting around 500 square feet), and almost all of them have private pools with aqua-massage chairs or Jacuzzis, as well as bang-up ocean views.

In the Area

The island of Koh Samui, or Samui as locals and regular visitors call it, has a history that spans more than 325 years. It was discovered by backpackers several decades ago, but since the 1990s it’s become a present-day sophisticated enclave of excellent spas, dining and nightlife. The Big Buddha Temple is its most famous landmark, and the 40-feet-high golden deity is visited by devout locals as well as tourists. The hotel can also arrange private long-tail boat tours to the Five Islands to see caves, beaches and bamboo houses perched on high limestone cliffs, on islands that were until recently completely inaccessible to foreigners.

My husband and I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly the food was delicious and the facility was beautiful. We loved the infinity pools and our outdoor jacuzzi in our room. We had an amazing time here.

AMAZING Resort & Service!

We stayed at Silavadee in June 2019 for 3 days and we wished we could have stayed longer!

It is beautifully designed with traditional Thai architecture and modern interiors. We truly felt serene, relaxed and at peace during our stay at Silavadee. The resort offers endless views of the ocean horizon, gorgeous cotton candy sunsets, amazing food, facilities and more. There was an abundance of activities, including kayaking, muay thai and various fitness classes on the beach.

Our favourite was their breakfast, which is one of the best buffet breakfasts we've had. Not only was the food good quality, there was also a selection of cook-to-order items on offer. And the Thai ice tea (cha yen) was absolutely sensational.

All of the staff, including the General Manager Manuel, were wonderful and the service they provided was top notch! It was most definitely an unforgettable place and experience and we are so excited and cannot wait to come back again next time!

Everything is top of top in the resort. Located in a beautiful part of Koh Samui. Resort has its own beach which is one of the most amazing on the Koh Samui.

I had a room with a balcony which was wonderful. Great design, little touched which makes You feel special (every day fresh fruits, cookies and many more). Whole complex is very nice, not enormously large, but spacious enough to keep balance between privacy and warm atmosphere. Staff is very good and friendly. Breakfast is amazing and delicious. Pools also great.

Been in the Banyan Tree for the dinner and must say that service and taste was better in Silavadee. Also the Silavadee is smaller which has its advantages.

Highly recommend place.
