Located on one of the most beautiful (and private) beaches on an island known for its beautiful beaches, Silavadee Pool Spa Resort is secluded, romantic, and exclusive. It’s a mix of rustic, back-to-nature simplicity, and high-end creature comforts like a French spa and 24-hour butlers who can arrange anything from island tours to private beach barbecues. The 80 rooms and villas are spacious (starting around 500 square feet), and almost all of them have private pools with aqua-massage chairs or Jacuzzis, as well as bang-up ocean views.
In the Area
The island of Koh Samui, or Samui as locals and regular visitors call it, has a history that spans more than 325 years. It was discovered by backpackers several decades ago, but since the 1990s it’s become a present-day sophisticated enclave of excellent spas, dining and nightlife. The Big Buddha Temple is its most famous landmark, and the 40-feet-high golden deity is visited by devout locals as well as tourists. The hotel can also arrange private long-tail boat tours to the Five Islands to see caves, beaches and bamboo houses perched on high limestone cliffs, on islands that were until recently completely inaccessible to foreigners.
How to Get There
My husband and I stayed at the resort for 11 nights in April celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had the most amazing time the resort was superb. The staff were all so very friendly and nothing was a trouble to them. We had a romantic private dinner on the beach and the setting was wonderful, food was outstanding and again the staff who waited on us were so lovely. Thank you for giving us some great memories to cherish and we hope to come back again soon.
I stayed in Silavadee from May 10 to 13, 2019. It was an incredibly experience. First, our villa is superrrrr nice that we don't even wanna go out sometimes just to have more time enjoying the pool villa. The staffs in the resort are very friendly. There are a few nice restaurants and the food is really good as well. The interesting thing is they have different activities everyday such as special bbq buffet, movie night etc... Everything about this resort is perfect and we would definitely coming back sometime in the future.
My wife and I recently opted for a one week relaxing stay at the Silavadee on route from Singapore to Bangkok. Upon arrival we were given a wonderful greeting by the staff, especially Kate who promptly dealt with our check-in and then drove us to our villa (a scenic pool villa - Number 33) which was fabulous as it was fairly secluded with views over the sea. Having our own pool and sunbathing area was great as it allowed us to just spend time relaxing ... it made the whole experience very chilled.
During our week at the Silavadee we were given excellent service, from the staff in the restaurants (breakfast was great with a very wide choice of treats), to the bars where we had lunch or sat under the stars with a cocktail late at night, to the reception where all our queries and requirements were dealt with efficiently and with a smile. It was also great being driven around the grounds in golf-buggies when we fancied it ... there was always a friendly staff member willing to pick you up in a buggy and deliver you to your destination.
The Silavadee also runs shuttle buses down to the local towns / beaches which were really useful ... it offered us the opportunity to drift down town by taxi (250 -300 TBHT) or shuttle when we fancied and return by taxi or shuttle as we wished, allowing us to just enjoy the bars, restaurants and ambience of Chaweng & Lamai.
A highlight of the week was a cookery class with the Silavadee's Executive Chef Pamon, who was brilliant. Pamon was informative, friendly, funny and great to be with as we were shown how to make a variety of Thai dishes (Yam Talay, Pad Thai Goong, Yam Nuea Yang & Gaeng Keaw Waan Gai - Thai Green Curry). We also got to eat the meals we cooked accompanied with a cocktail !! very nice. We were also helped by Nong, Pamon's assistance who took many photos which we now have to remember the class. Many thanks to them both for a fabulous session.
All in all, we had a brilliant time at the Silavadee and we will return in the future when we are travelling in that area ...
Quiet, serene and very private- all elements I was looking for.
Clean, excellent service, amazing pool and nice view. Nice breakfast as well.
On suggestion is your food quality in the restaurant. We had dinner in the Thai restaurant. Honestly, the dishes were so-so. well, not bad but that’s it.
it’s the only thing that makes me hesitant when I consider my next visit to your resort.
However, amazing job to all staff.
We stayed for one week at Silavadee. We came with high hopes and the hotel managed to overcome them.
We stayed at the beach view room which was absolutely outstanding but if you can, chose the beach front one. We regretted not to pick this one.
The hotel is amazing, the structure, the breakfast has everything you can hope for and more. To us, the highlight is the staff. They are so kind, so friendly and so careful at all times. We even mentioned to the general manager that the feeling is that every employee owns a piece of the hotel because they treat the customers this way.
We were very happy with our choice and we could not point out any improvements to them. Just a big thank you and hoping to be back soon. We were sad to leave.
