How to Get There
Wonderful hotel which is made so special by the fabulous staff. We loved our week long stay, so relaxing with excellent service. Breakfast is fantastic with a huge selection and we had delicious meals in both restaurants. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Mosquitos are sprayed for every night and the turn down service lights a mosquito coil so we never had any issues with bites. Sun beds were always available on the beautiful beach or at the pool with attentive, friendly staff. We also tried the spa on several occasions as it was so good.
There are also lots of local restaurants within walking distance. You can walk to The Fisherman’s Village along the beach in about 15 min - this is a better route than by road, especially at night. However we preferred one of the original places, Cactus Bungalow, for fabulous good value Thai food - turn left along the beach from the hotel.
Overall we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return. Special thanks to Kung on reception who greeted us so warmly on arrival and always took the time to chat with us when we passed through reception. She was new in the role but we would never have known if she hadn’t told us as she was always charming and professional.
Also special mentions to Eak, Nil, Mai, Jane, Kung, Nid, Magic, Natty, Fon, Mart and Ice at the restaurants and pool (apologies for any mis-spellings or anyone I’ve missed out).
If you are looking for a very quiet, friendly decent place to stay this fits that bill. Beautiful spot on the beach, staff very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were well equipped, clean and maintained. However, hotel is spread through tropical gardens, which is better than it sounds, but there is no mosquito control, the place was rife with biting bugs. The place said it had entertainment, there was nil, nowt, none of that. If you just want to sleep and sunbathe this is the one for you.The catering here is dire so only earns the place an overall average and lets it down. Give both restaurants a miss. The breakfast was mediocre and we ate in the hotel once that was enough. We ordered a fried chicken dish, it comprised the dark scrap meat from the bottom of the chicken, fat grease and skin with two cokes that was £20. I wouldn't have given any of it to my dog. No apology or bill revoked just keen to charge you. The hotel was keen to charge you for everything, which is not a good experience and it was expensive. They need to get their customer service and business model corrected. So that is the hotel you have no catering. Turning to the beach, it is beautiful and there is miles of it, but don't think about walking along it... your feet sink 6 inches into the sand and it is impossible to walk on for any distance, unless you are training to join the SAS. So the options are, we thought, a 10 minute walk to the Fisherman's Village where you can get all the tourist traps and experience great expense and rip off in the restaurants and bars. It is nice but very expensive and some places that are not what they seem. Then on the last night we discovered a Thai restaurant just outside the hotel turn right... it looks like an open air shack on a main road, but it was full. The food was the best Thai food you will ever eat, really cheap and lovely service even if they struggled to understand us and bring out what we ordered, which was in fact funny and lovely. Anywhere else and you might of walked out! We won't be going back to the Hotel and you will only do the resort once.
Hi just returned home from an amazing time at the bo phut resort . Really don't know what happened to the previous report because we saw non of this whatsoever? .I would like to thank all the staff from management down to cleaners and gardeners everyone was so polite and the place was spotless . We ate twice at the thai restaurant perhaps a little more expensive than eating at fishermans village but it was also exceptional service and food .If I was to find 1 downside I think this property should be adults only . Once again a big thanks to all staff for making our holiday a great 1 ......
Bann bophut hotel fisherman’s village Koh Samui is the best beach hotel I have stayed at ,right on the beach, food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and plenty of space all you could ask for from a hotel with all the amenities you needed, small pool to enjoy if you didn’t want the sea, first class in every way , definitely five stars from me
Great location, steps away from the fisherman village. Nice rooms and awesome breakfast and service.
Dinner wise, better going outside as the food served was nothing special, especially seeing the prices when compared to going into town.
Overall I reccomend the place with no doubt.
