Anantara properties are outstanding !!!!!!!!!!!
Anantara Bophut is the 3rd we have been lucky enough to stay in - the impressive entrance, lit by torch light leading up to reception. The high reception area, the cool library where we checked in and the walk across water, around the beautiful gardens leading to our garden view room on the 3rd floor.
Such a pretty room decorated with bougainvillea,a monkey shaped towel on the king sized bed with white, crisp linen, fresh fruit and the lovely welcome letter.
The mattress and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom is great once you get used to the design. How do you manage to get hot water the second the tap is turned on in the shower every single time whatever the time of the day?
Great,quality and lovely smelling toiletries.
Our balcony was very pretty and you could just glimpse the sea.
The walk through the gardens down to the pool and beach is like walking through the jungle and people were working every day cutting back, sweeping up etc etc. Everyone of them always happy to stop and say hello, infact every member of the hotel were gracious, happy, helpful and very efficient.
The pool is beautiful, great for swimming lengths or relaxing in the jacuzzi areas.
We spent most of our days on the beach - there were always beds available. The bean bags were soooo comfortable, especially when the sun started dropping, the shade came round and you could lay on the bean bags with a great cocktail during happy hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Breakfasts were delicious, huge choice of food and the egg station in particular was excellent.
Bird (I hope I have got the name right) was lovely and bought us our drinks and lunch on the beach as was the sweet security guard who placed our towels on the sunbeds.
The hotel and grounds are beautifully designed, incorporating nature and the thai charm.
The hotel is literally 10/15 steps away from the walk (5 minutes) to Fishermans Village - perfect position.
Thankyou to everyone - we had an amazing 9 day holiday and would love to return.

The hotel is located on a fabulous plot, right on the beach and a very short walk from the shops and restaurants of Fishermans Village. It's a long thin plot but they've made the most of it with a wonderful layout and the communal space is spectacular - the dining areas, pool, beach bar and casual space are all adding something to the experience. It's also located perfectly for exploring the rest of the island clockwise to Chaweng and the east side, anti-clockwise towards the west and the mountains.

The rooms are a good size without being huge and we had an upper floor balcony which was superb. Definitely worth paying the extra for.

As ever with Anantara the highlight was the staff who were always friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Special mention from us for Kwan, Fon & Tak who sum up Thailand - happy, charismatic and entertaining.

Kob khun kab Anantara!

Holiday to Koh Samui

An amazing hotel in a superb location, just a short walk into the village. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic as are the gardens, pool and beach area. The staff cannot do enough for you. If I had to pick a fault it would be that the drinks and food are over priced - if the hotel were to reduce prices just a little we would have eaten and drunk more in the hotel. However, this would not stop me returning to this little bit of paradise!
