How to Get There
Stayed there in February and had a wonderful experience. Clean friendly quiet and extremely well located and rooms very well appointed. This time a trifle disappointed that we were placed on the 16 th floor with limited views. Should have spoken up earlier but we were exhausted after 21 days on the Trans Siberian odyssey. When staff learnt of my disappointment a couple of days later they offered to move us up but we were sick and tired of one night stands. The staff are absolutely tops. The mistake I suspect comes from the Accor profiling not within their control....we didn’t get to the bottom of that. Makes me think that Accor sees membership loyalty in strict commercial terms....This hotel is the best placed in Nankai....not to be missed if going to Osaka.
This was the best hotel we stayed in on our 21 day trip through Japan. We were on the 21 st floor had had great views. The bedroom was large and the bathroom was pretty basic and supplied small bottles of soap etc. Of the 5 hotels we stayed in, 3 supplied community bottles of soap etc.
The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful.
The japanese breakfast was 5 star with 5 star staff.
The breakfast at Tavola 36 restaurant was more than 5 star with a huge range of fresh fruit instead of tinned fruit and Japanese and Western food. I had the Japanese food.
The hotel is above the railways station and the subway system is easy and quick to get to other attractions that tourist go to and other attractions that tourists do not go to.
Only one problem their restaurants were overpricedm and we ate dinner outside the hotel but otherwise great hotel.
Stayed before and after the RWC quarter finals for a total of 3 nights and thought it was great. The rooms were nice and comfortable (the second stay we had a room that had recently been updated and it was very nice), although the bathrooms were very basic - not really up to standard to be honest but functional. The bar at the top is nice and the breakfast (in the same place) was very good albeit pretty expensive. The location on top of the station and across the road from the Namba district which is great for restaurants etc was ideal. We got a very reasonable price as well so all-in-all I'd stay there again.
