How to Get There
Directly above the train station and within an easy walk of restaurants, bars and the bus stop.
Easy city to navigate around, taxis are reasonable as well and there is so much to see!
Room was a generous size and the bed was very comfortable, nice bathroom that was also a good size and layout and with heaps of provided toiletries (the travel hairbrushes they provide are actually really great so grab yourself one of these!)
Breakfast options were fairly extensive as well.
All in all - Highly recommended!
接：I don’t know
Me: can you help me to ask before connecting
接： do you want to answer now?
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area is massive and seemed so busy and initially a little overwhelming, but everything was so well organised (well, it is Japan!). We arrived at noon, but were quickly registered, left our bags and simply picked up keys later in the day.
The hotel could not be more conveniently located for transport links as it is directly above the Kyoto station, which also incorporates a shopping centre, restaurants and food court (or 'Eats Paradise'!). The whole building complex is a striking modern architectural and structural engineering wonder.
Our room was on the 11th floor with a breathtaking view of the city to the north and the surrounding hills. It was spacious and very comfortable. It was also very quiet considering the busy location.
There are several breakfast locations and the selection was very good.Had a lovely evening meal in the 15th floor 'sky lounge' restaurant, at a table window overlooking the station tracks and the sleek Shinkansen trains coming and going.
The hotel is convenient for walking to some attractions and obviously has very easy access to local trains or taxis for further flung gardens and temples. Ideal location for instructing taxi drivers to return to - no obscure or complicated address...
We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are very expensive, we paid 1100 per night for 2 rooms. Our room was on the club level, our nephews on a regular floor. Both rooms were clean, redone and spacious. We were given a room with two beds after asking for a king. They would not accommodate us in the first night unless we upgraded for an extra 100, they instead moved us the second day. The desk was polite but not particularly nice about it.
The beddings were ok, the linens, towels and toiletries not luxurious. The bathroom is compact with a good shower, lots of hot water.
We brought out nephew up to the (unimpressive, see pics) executive lounge for a few minutes to sit and plan our day. The staff told us very clearly he was not welcome, just the two of us. I have stayed on the club floor in many countries and have never been told we could not have a guest, much less one who is staying at the hotel. The club had nothing to offer beyond coffee and tea, much less than any other lounge I have been in. This may have been a cultural difference but it left me with a bad impression. I will look elsewhere next trip to Kyoto despite the convenient location.
The quality of service has dropped drastically for the last few years, while the room fee has risen!!!!!
Room equipment and amenities are not good quality either.
- detergent like shampoo and body soap. You’ll suffer from dry skin and hair later
- rent a nail clipper, which was broken
- too small garbage box in the room
- WiFi gets cut off very often!!!!!!!!
