How to Get There
This is easily one of the most well-done resort properties I have ever visited. It is incredibly well=managed, with an attention to detail that was surprising. Not only is the service good in the context of this geographic region, it would be considered top tier anywhere. I have stayed at 5-star resorts in Europe and the USA that aren't nearly as good as Salinda.
So that I don't sound like I'm raving too much, I will point out that for families with small children, having the restaurants open a little earlier would be great, but that is not really an issue because there is very good room service and the pool bar does serve good food as well in the early evening.
Thanks to the entire Salinda staff, who clearly care about their guest's experience there.
This resort is on a great little stretch of beach and is well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the service is great. From the airport pick up onwards the staff try to make your stay great. I arrived late on a Friday and ate at the Italian restaurant (Il Muro) which had a nice Italian red wine list and great staff. The food was delicious considering it's a small island not known for Italian food :) there's a great cocktail bar on the resort called High Note that had live music... A 5 piece band playing cover songs! The set up by the pool/beach is great with ample towels and loungers. They also helped arrange a late check out for me.
There is a breakfast buffet that is very nice and quite extensive with Asian and Western options. I highly recommend trying the Vietnamese coffee (I have it without the condensed milk).
The only thing I would change is that in your room they leave you bottles of water but at the pool you have to buy it. They should have water available for people to fill up reusable bottles.
If you're looking for a relaxing spot with great service I'd say you can't go wrong with this resort.
My husband and I absolutely LOVED the Salinda Resort in Phu Quoc!! What a beautiful and clean resort. It is directly at the beach so you dont have to decide whether you want pool or beach time because you can have BOTH and it was so so clean. The view from the pool to the palm trees to the ocean was a dream. We experienced beautiful sunsets here while hanging out at the pool and getting our drink on. But what really made our stay perfect was the staff. Every single person at Salinda welcomed us and treated us so nicely. We enjoyed speaking with some of the staff ladies at the restaurants every night (the Italian and indian restaurants are without a doubt high class 5 star restaurants, omg the food was amazing). The ladies My and Men both made excellent recommendations regarding food choices and it tasted so so good. If you are interested in any tours or activities the front desk is always happy to help you plan a trip as well (we did a speedboat snorkeling trip, attaching a photo of the nice turquoise water and boat here!). Lastly, the breakfast buffet was a dream. I have rarely seen such a perfect selection of food and it was presented beautifully.
I can only recommend staying here during your trip !! Bonus points: it's only a 10mins drive from the airport which was SO relaxing!!!!
