How to Get There
I have been fortunate enough to have regularly visited excellent hotels and resorts, both for business and pleasure, during my 48 first years of life. I can say with certainty that Salinda Resort Phu Quoc is at least in the top three. I have made the decision to never return to the same hotel or resort twice, as there are too many places to see in this world (and there’s a big risk of being disappointed), however, for Salinda I would make an exception.
The wonderful staff at the resortI are in a league of their own (customer service, demeanor, calmness, friendliness) and I honestly did not hear the word "no" once during my two week stay.
The resort is in the middle of the island, facing west and the premises, which are only four years old are lush, meticulously well kept and beautifully located by Salindas own private beach - which sets up perfectly for beautiful sunsets in Vietnam.
Everything is so neat and clean, down to the tiniest detail, from the rooms, to the lobby to the poolside and the gardens. The breakfast is quite possibly the best I have ever had. It is positively overwhelming with freshness and very tasty, combined with complementary sparkling wine. I am not personally too fond of live piano for breakfast, but if you are - you will be thrilled.
Salinda also has three affordable evening restaurants with high standards. Namaste is the best Indian you will have (beware of spicy plus ;-) The Italian restaurant was not up to the resorts´overall standard.
The resort has a boutique as well and after travelling across the entire island, it turns out to have the best collection of souvenirs.
The gym has a very good selection of Life Fitness equipment and is of course up to the same standards of the resort (if you finish by 9am you still have plenty of time to shower and enjoy the breakfast!). The spa is wonderful.
So, if you veer from the Italian, and not tempt yourself with the possibility to rent a speedboat with crew (which is heavily overpriced from an external provider), you will get a holiday experience for life.
Just go there!
In a word this resort is fantastic. Reasons are:
1. Best breakfast - every thing u could want plus u get free sparkling wine there every day
2. Lovely big pool overlooking the beach
3. Great sunset views
4. Very clean
5. Friendly and helpful staff
6. Have three good internal restaurants. We are their plus spice house restaurant nearer the city and crab house in the city and all excellent
Me and my partner Jake visited the Salinda Resort towards the end of our 3 week adventure travelling around Vietnam.
Salinda is so beautiful and so clean. The staff were so kind and helpful. We loved our time there. We had a special meal on the beach on our final evening which was amazing. An experience of a life time. We loved our time in Vietnam and Phu Quoc was a special highlight for us. Thank you to all of the staff for ensuring our stay was magical.

NORTH WALES, UK.
My wife and I stayed at the Salinda for 4 nights at the end of a 2 week trip around Vietnam. We wanted some relaxation before returning to the UK. We were not disappointed. The hotel is absolutely spotless. The view, beach and especially the pool area are fantastic. There are so many sun beds so there are always plenty to go around. It is also so very quiet. We upgraded to the Deluxe Sea View room which was well worth the extra cost. It was luxurious with a huge bed.
We tried the Italian and Vietnamese restaurant and both were excellent. Yes, a bit more expensive than is normal in Vietnam but still absolutely worth a visit. The spring rolls are beautiful! The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice available. Sparkling wine and smoked salmon became my favourite.
However, the reason this hotel is so good is down to the staff. They were absolutely amazing in every way. They were always happy and smiling. Nothing was too much trouble and I believe they genuinely wanted the guests to have a perfect stay.
This hotel is simply the best.
The Salinda won best ‘Southeast Asia’s Best Relaxation Retreat Award’ (Boutique Hotel Awards) in 2018 and based on our experience we can certainly understand why it did! The location, view, beach, pool, restaurant and wider facilities are fantastic – and everything we hoped for!
The quality of service and standard of professionalism is very high. There is a very high staff to guest ratio but the Salinda still manages to deliver a very intimate personalised service. Every staff member greets you with a smile and comes across as very happy, positive and friendly and go out of their way to assist - at times far exceeding what is reasonable to expect.
We also sampled all three restaurants (Vietnamese/Western grill, Indian, and Italian) and were delighted with them all – some of the best food in each category we have ever had – and we’ve been lucky enough to eat well around the world.
There is a Bank ATM and a mini supermarket across the street (albeit we didn’t use the latter.) Reception can also arrange a private speedboat charter for the day to the South Islands for a very competitive/reasonable charge enabling snorkelling, swimming, and good photos!
