How to Get There
A very nice resort situated on one self-contained part of the larger island. Beach and pool facilities offer a choice activity for the family, along with other facilities. The adjacent amusement park (costs extra!) was welcoming for most family members, with the expected restrictions for the younger children.
Food was excellent and varied, overall, with a large range of choices for each meal, and a good long window for meal-times. Free transport to and from the island (via shuttle boat) offered opportunities to visit the mainland, and experience the greater area.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the experience as a whole was very good. One does question the 5-star rating, presenting more as a good 4-star resort, and it is difficult to claim it was truly "value for money" as it were.
A pleasant and enjoyable stay, lovely views, very relaxing.
Nice , lavish resort with fantastic pool. The pool must be 500 yards x 100 yards and is spectacular. There is a kids pool and an adult jacuzzi (total of 3 pools). The swim up bar was a nice touch and they have two live musicians at night. The lobby and halls smell of overwhelming perfume so request they clean your room and do not spray the fragrance. The exchange rate is fantastic so exchange all of your money with the hotel front desk.
The overall ambience is rich but the finish is poor. Our shower had a large gap at the joints, causing water to leak all over the floor. The art is a joke. In the buffet area, they have the same painting on adjacent walls (copies obviously). Really, get a qualified designer and art consultant! The buffet is fantastic and has excellent options with seven or more stations. Each meal, there were kids running rampant, screaming with no parental supervision. Several meals we had to endure crying kids. We tried going near closing time and there were fewer kids but still disappointing. The staff is nice and they did upgrade us to the 8th floor but the room took 6 hours to cool off. The men’s spa is a joke. Two showers, a hot tub (room temperature water- not heated), a steam room (broken) and a nice hot sauna. One of the showers was missing a knob (also missing in women’s area) and they are too concerned about the robes. They allow you to take the robe back to your room but you must bring it back or call housekeeping. It should be seamless with housekeeping and not placing the burden on the guests.
We enjoyed the safari area with wonderful animals. They appeared to be well fed and the facility was great.
The beach is small and the water is nice and warm (April) but they charge too much for the wet bikes etc. The fee was $32 US dollars for 15 minutes and $100 for one hour. They had 3 staff manning this area and no customers. This fee is higher than in the US. Overall I gave them a 3 star and was a little disappointed.
Like the villas, clear water beach, Amusement park, huge swimming pool, ferry service to mainland to Vinpearl island, resort was clean. limitless buffet option. tuk tuk was nice. 🚠🚠🚠👍.
great vacation for family trip.
This resort is breathtaking, from the trip in the speed boat from the mainland to the huge pool to the Disneyland like park. It attracts many families from Russia, the Ukraine and Asia. It was the wrong resort for us but we enjoyed the area and pool. We felt isolated from Nha Trang city and missed the buzz of being in and exploring the city.
The buffet was plentiful but overrun at peak times. Eating options are very limited..the buffet, 1 restaurant, a snack at the pool bar or room service. Would we return or recommend this hotel..no but I'm sure lots of families would love it.
I traveled with family to Vin Pearl for Lunar New Year 2019. We stayed at one of the villas, which was huge and clean. The private pool was super clear and very convenient. The beach had a nice sand and views, but the water wasn't very clear.
The gym was well-equipped and clean, although the bicycles for rent were in terrible shape (not recommended at all).
The resort had lots of activities for the family, including many kids games, cooking classes, and fun competitions. They have a dedicated recreation staff, who did a fantastic job of engaging the guests, and really getting to know our family by name. Maryna, Alex, Irena, and Tu were awesome.
The Vinpearl Land amusement park is on the island. However, everything else is off the island, so anywhere else you want to go requires a speedboat ride or cable car ride. .
The dining halls are large and have a huge selection of food for different tastes. Overall I would highly recommend the resort if you're travelling with kids, and/or want to spend most of your time near the resort. But if you want to do a lot of different things in the city or anywhere off the island, you need to consider the logistics required: getting from the resort to the speedboats (ten minute tuk-tuk rode; speed boat schedule (every 30 minutes or so); speedboat ride (10 minutes); then catching a taxi from the port to wherever you want to go. Of course, you have to do all that in reverse when you want to return to the resort.
