How to Get There
I travel a fair bit, but I don't usually write reviews - but in this instance, I would be remiss if I didn't. My wife and I just spent a wonderful 3 days at Mia Resort, and if I'd known it was going to be so nice I would have booked for longer. We had a garden villa (I had originally wanted a cliff-side villa with a private pool, but we were late in booking) and it was wonderful. A minute stroll across beautifully sculpted grounds to the infinity pool and Sandal's restaurant, but with the way the surrounds are fashioned (high hedges, trees) it still feels like your own private oasis. The room was wonderful and very comfortable and the beach was perfect.
Sandals restaurant deserves a mention as well - absolutely delicious food. The breakfast spread is decadent, and every meal we had was delicious. I loved the Vietnamese and Western dishes - my only suggestion, as I traveled with my Chinese wife, is maybe thinking about adding a few more dishes that are suitable for mainland Chinese (who seemed to be 30%+ of the guests - another 30% being Korean). For example, my wife loved the sour / spicy Vietnamese soup that was available on the Wednesday Vietnamese buffet (a very Chinese style dish), but it wasn't available the rest of the week and she had trouble finding food that fit her palate. She liked the hot pot very much, though, which was an option every day. As an American who loves Asian food, I had many options and loved every meal. The Banh Mi version of the Boston lobster roll was delicious.
So the grounds were lovely, the food was amazing, and the staff was terrific. Everyone was exceedingly polite and well-trained. Quick shout out to two lovely servers who waited on us several times, Thanh and Chinh. Lovely ladies. Also, the fellow in charge of activities, Chris, was a really friendly guy. It's too bad the weather didn't cooperate and we couldn't go on any of the activities Mia offered (we wanted to snorkel but the ocean was a bit fierce these days)
I'm back in cold, wet Shanghai now, and I'm really missing Mia. I hope I can get back soon.
We have just left. I was in tears as I simply did not want to go. We stayed in a Garden Condo with partial sea view and it was perfectly located for Sandals, which is one of the two restaurants, and for the pool and beach. Everywhere was very quiet and the atmosphere was calm and tranquil despite the hotel being full and Têt being underway.
We couldn’t fault the service and the staff are, without exception, excellent.
I have a significant allergy to shellfish, which is a bit of an issue in Vietnam given the fact that much cuisine uses fish paste as an ingredient. I have never, ever received such care regarding this. It seemed as if everyone had been briefed and each time we ate in one or other of the restaurants the staff were already poised to advise me as to what I could or could not eat. Bravo to Cindy and the management. This is a wonderful hotel and we are already saving up for our return trip.
Mia Resort is situated in beautiful grounds about twenty minutes from Nha Trang. A hotel shuttle bus operates four times a day or you can choose to go by taxi.
Cindy, the friendly and efficient hotel manager was frequently visible, chatting to guests ( and staff) and offering advice where necessary. We felt her hands - on approach really paid off. All the staff we encountered during our stay were truly outstanding.
Breakfast was excellent with both Asian and Western dishes on offer ( part buffet style but with tea, coffee and some cooked items served at your table). The two restaurants ( one Italian) served interesting, well presented food which was of a high quality.
The pool situated beside the beach was good and the pool attendants helpful.
The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
We enjoyed drinks and snacks in the bar ( with sea views)
Set in beautifully maintained grounds this is an excellent hotel.
Two restaurants serve good food all day long.
Staff are absolutely delightful - could not be more friendly or helpful.
The resort manager, Cindy, was always around and always talking to guests (exactly what a hotel manager should be doing).
Beach rather small but everything looks out towards the sea.
Lovely hotel bars.
My wife and daughters made good use and thoroughly enjoyed the spa.
Hotel shuttle bus into Nha Trang was very good - but a taxi was not expensive if the times of the shuttle did not suit us.
Everything was perfect.
Room is clean and cozy.
And we had buffet at Sandal.
The number of foods was not so much. But BBQ station was great.
If I visit Nha trang again.
I will stay Mia definitely.
Thank you for beautiful memories :)
