How to Get There
Friendly and professional staff that makes you feel that you are at home away from home. When you come back to the hotel there is that feeling of "we missed you and we are happy you are back". The weekend events were beautiful and very entertaining. The swimming pool is always clean and the gymnasium fully equipped. The rooms are beautifully styled as in the website. I also appreciated the chocolate, tea and coffee in my room. The 24 hour room service was also commendable. I also appreciated sticky wings and lamp chops as part of the breakfast menu.
Restaurant services are very very slow. Staff don’t seem to be bothered about the customers. Location is good. Reception staff are friendly and efficient. Average room, with very functional amenities.
I stayed here for business for 1 week last week and upon check-out I did not get the Marriott points. I knew this was going to happen. Upon check-in I specifically asked them at the front desk to add my points and she said she did it. Because I had a trust issue with this hotel, I opened a case separately with Marriott customer service to have this case managed by them. I was right. Upon check-out, I did not see my points credited to my account. This has been 4-5 days now. With other hotels, it always happened in a day or two. Marriott customer has told me they had no record of my stay and now asked me for my folio to prove that I stayed there. THIS IS TIME THAT I DID NOT HAVE TO SPEND IF SOMEONE DID THEIR JOB CORRECTLY. Be aware that you will need to spend this extra time following up after your stay!!!
i had a lovely stay at the hotel,Farida checked us in a good room with a beautiful view of the village market and entrance of the hotel,i could see the small fish from my room..moses showed us to our rooms in a friendly way and a smile that he cant resist showing and explained everything in the room, plus called the it guys and fixed my channels.... my roomservice arrived on good time as ordered and david went ahead and arranged them on the table for it was alot and opened my bottle of wine wich i checked in with and in a happy smile told me to enjoy...later ,,went to jiko restaurant after a good swim at the pool and was had a delicious meal...the staff were professional and happy to serve,,the manager at the shift advised me to visit again esp during sunday brunch and #happyhour wich i missed coz it ended at 8pm....jiko restaurant is the best place to have a meal, with or without your family, you will be served to your satisfaction..
A dear friend and a former employee introduced me to the Kaya Spa and since then, I have become a frequent guest. Lucy is my treatment specialist and she is good at what she does. I always leave relaxed and satisfied. That is of course after I enjoy a glass of fresh mango juice and samosas at the Tribe Restaurant.
