How to Get There
Wedding. My wife and I flew in a few days early for a Saturday wedding. This historic hotel is unique and is a Hilton gem. Take the hotel tour with Brad Johnson. Check out the Seelbach bar. Great venue for a wedding reception and service. Plenty to do and see in Louisville.
Stayed at hotel for family wedding. Cordial staff, clean, very good food. convenient to 4th street and two tourist spots: Mohammed Ali museum and Louisville slugger museum. Smoked wings in bar were outstanding.
This hotel has so much beauty and history! Be sure to read up on it before you come, so you can check out every level. The rooms have really tall ceilings, but are a bit on the small size, at least the standard rooms. We asked for a king, but got two double beds. I explained that my husband is 6'4", but they weren't willing or able to accommodate our request. So we had to sleep separately, with him diagonal on a small bed --- not what we would have liked for a birthday celebration get-away! The bathroom was as small is it could possibly get. The shower was stand-up only, not just as in no bathtub, but it was so small you could only stand up and not bend over to wash your feet or anything! We didn't eat in the dining areas as we read TripAdvisor reviews in advance, which were so-so, we had a car, and there are lots of great eateries the next block over from the hotel.
