This breakfast not for me
Reviewed 5 months ago

Recommended to us on our first night in Kennebunkport, we arrived with great expectation.
Perhaps it was not the right day for our server and as we were the only people there and wanted to eat outside, its was inconvenient.
The food was "fine" but didn't match the surroundings and the menu limited.
We just wanted a hearty breakfast to set up the day and that was not available on the menu. There were no exceptions available.
All in all a lovely view but not the place for our British and Canadian expectations.

Poor Communication
Reviewed 5 months ago

Traveled here on a girls trip. As others mentioned, the rooms were small but nicely decorated (outside of some mold on the shower curtain). Where our experience went really downhill was after we left. When we made the reservation, we indicated that there could be up to four guests. The Inn charges $40/person after two people, which makes sense given the additional breakfasts. We only ended up having three people that night. Shouldn’t be a big deal, right? We looked for the owner to make the adjustment before we left and she was not there. One of the staff members, however, told us that we would only be charged for three people. After not receiving the refund for the extra $40, we tried to get in touch with the owner. Two emails and two phone calls later, she finally responded that they needed 30 days notice to change the number of people on the room. Seriously? I understand if we had entirely canceled the room, but you are still going to charge us for breakfast that will not be served? I can’t even begin to understand the logic there. Looks like there are many great alternatives in the area. I suggest trying somewhere else that has better communication and a more reasonable owner.

Brunch was Amazing

Had brunch with friends here this morning. It was outstanding! I had duck with eggs, my husband had short ribs and eggs, our friend had steak, lobster and eggs! Every dish was made to perfection! Hats off to chef Owen! Our waiter, Joe, was exceptional and contributed to our wonderful dining experience. Will DEFINITELY return!

Birthday Weekend

We stayed for three nights for my wife’s birthday. Room 50 has a nice porch with a great water view. The room was clean and the property is well maintained. Easy walk to dining and shopping. The brunch each morning was awesome. We would definitely come back.
