A spacious one- or two-bedroom abode on Hawaii's Garden Island, with a dining credit for longer stays
Sun, sand, sea and swaying palms on Hawaii’s world-famous Garden Island, Kauai. Does it get any better? Not really, which is a large part of why The Point at Poipu, a Diamond Resorts & Hotelsproperty, is also a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner. That, and the convenient poolside restaurant, Honu Cove Bar & Grill, whose meals offer an alternative to the barbecues you can host around the gas grills. And the daily events and, of course, accommodations – comfortable, thoughtfully appointed one- or two-bedroom retreats, with a kitchen and a balcony, patio or terrace apiece.
Make a splash in the outdoor pool, or make your way down to Shipwreck Beach, which the property overlooks, and frolic among the foaming Pacific waves. Bathe in the adults-only Jacuzzi, or inhale the fragrances of the blooming flowers that dot the grounds. And if you need a change of sunny, sandy scenery, then relocate to another part of this pristine isle: In addition to featuring golf greens, a grotto, a canyon, enchanting waterfalls and verdant state parks, it boasts a total of 50 miles of pristine shoreline.

It doesn’t get much more beautiful than Kauai, known as the Garden Island. When you’re not swimming in The Point at Poipu’s pool, soaking in its hot tub or making your way down to Shipwreck Beach, see some of the most striking foliage at several state parks, such as the 17-mile paradise along the Na Pali Coast. Tour the Fern Grotto, see the Wailua Falls, or hike the Kalalau Trail. You can also take on-site hula lessons or crafting classes, or pick from 10 golf courses and nearly 50 miles of other white sands on the island.
