How to Get There
This was our second stay at the Weston Princeville Resort and we have not been disappointed either time. The staff are gracious and accommodating and the location of this resort is super special. I very much like the way the villas are appointed--I hope that will not change with the renovation that has been scheduled. We like the ambiance of these villas more than Nanea on Maui.
You do not get what you pay for. We had spent other time at the cliffs at Princeville just before switching to the Westin thinking we'd splurge. Despite being double the price, it was nowhere near as nice as the Cliffs. The rooms are small for villas, and dated. Highly recommended you save your money and book elsewhere.
We fell in love with the north side of the island on our last visit. Decided to stay the first part of this trip on the north side. Made hiking the NaPali Coast easier as trail head can only be accessed from the north side. The Westin is a beautiful property. Everything about it. From the drive in, to the landscape and the pool, to the rainbow trees that are a short walk away. The local shops as well as beach access are also an easy walk. Our room was on the ground floor. New for us, but the landscape offered plenty of privacy. We had a narrow ocean view from our room, which we were happy with, having booked an island view villa.
