How to Get There
My wife and I stayed here for a week. We were a little disappointed. The condos were on the beach, but because of the heavy surf swimming is discouraged. Our unit was nice, but the furniture was well worn. The pool was small, but it is possible to use the pool in the resort next door. The grounds are well maintained and we had everything we needed to make a nice trip.
Even though there seemed to be many people staying at the resort (based on the number of cars in the parking areas) it was quiet and relaxing. The grounds were well kept. Our two bedroom unit was large and comfortable. The convenient location - between Lihue and Kapa'a - resulted in short drives to many good restaurants, shopping, sightseeing opportunities and tourist activities. The staff was very friendly and helpful - I felt they sincerely wanted us to enjoy our time on Kauai.
This resort is in an outstanding location for visiting Kauai. About 2 miles from Lihue airport and about equidistant to the plush green north or the dryer south. It sits back off the main road with a pleasant tree lined access. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to turn left in the morning when two lanes of traffic are heading into Lihue. But, study it. You’ll do fine. Our favorite fish place, Fish Express, is close enough that you can pick up a delicious seafood meal and be back to eat it on your lanai while still warm. The condo is well appointed with all the equipment needed. There is even a ice chest to take with you as you tour the island. The facility was extremely well cared for; clean and comfortable. There is air conditioning only in the bedroom, but it is all you need. We have stayed there in July in the past and have been comfortable; just one of the great things about this island. In April, it was delightful. The desk staff is great. They are always ready to help and are always cheerful. The pool is small, but pleasing. We use the many beaches more anyhow. Hot tub was warm and a great relax assist after a days activities. Nice touch is a beach locker where guests have left beach equipment that you can borrow while you are there. Check on Saturday or Sunday for best selection. We have enjoyed every stay here and I am certain we will stay again.
The concierge (Jordan) was extremely helpful with any questions and booking of our activities. Kate from the office was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and always making sure everything was ok. The rooms are clean and very spacious, each bedroom has an AC unit. The grounds are very well maintained and clean.
The resort is clean, has nice grounds, and has a good small pool and hot tub. Our 1 bedroom deluxe unit had a wonderful lanai and was very spacious-- easily accommodates 4 people because it had 2 bathrooms, each with a tub and shower. Buildings G and H are right on the beach and the other units are a quick walk on walking paths-- no roads to cross. The beach has heavy surf and is often windy so if you want a safe place for young kids to swim drive to the public beach at Poipu, which is often sunny when the rest of the island is cloudy. We could drive to Waimea Canyon, the Kilauea lighthouse/wildlife refuge, Hanalei, and Poipu in less than an hour. The resort next door has a Tiki bar next to the beach and an ice cream bar and they are happy to serve people staying at Kauai Beach Villas. Nothing else is in walking distance, but it is a 10-minute drive to Kapaa, which has some good restaurants and happy hours. Walmart is a 5-minute drive to the south for stocking up on food and souvenirs.
