Overview
The Lowdown
Thailand’s islands will always be a limelight-stealer, and among them, Phuket still reigns as the one that has something for everyone. Its famous Andaman side may have been well and truly discovered by jet-setting nomads already, but the legendary beaches have certainly not lost their allure.
For a stay that’s central to many of the west coast’s attractions, park yourself halfway down in the resort town of Patong. It’s home to one of the island’s largest and most popular stretches of sand, as well as a raucous nightlife scene, if that’s your cup of tea. The Lunar Patong puts you at the edge of the action – close enough for nocturnal creatures and perfectly quiet for those who are not – and offers simple, clean-lined rooms that are ideal for a fly-and-flop break.
With a multitude of restaurants around and the seashore only minutes away, this mid-sized hotel is a savvy base for beach-goers. The modern restaurant and freeform infinity pool with mountain views are enough to inspire a few days of relaxation on-site, too.

Let me start off by saying that I am no fan of Patong. Having stayed in Karon and Kata beach before this bit is not my favourite part of Phuket. However that aside, the Lunar Patong is very central, within walking distance of the beach and Junceylon Centre. Everything you could want from the convenience store, massages, pharmacy and restaurants are on your doorstep. The room has everything you could need and is comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It however reminds me of a business hotel and I quite like the places that are a bit unique and are more resort like. If you need a place to sleep and stow your luggage you will have no problems here.
Lunar Patong is situated on the main road and very close to many convenience store, eateries and massage center. The room is very spacious and clean. Service is good and attentive as well. Will definitely stay there again.
Arriving the first night you have building going on until 9pm right outside your window, after complaining nothing is done.
Second night they still building at 9:30pm and you'll definitely be woken up on Sunday morning very early with the noise of them.
I don't recommend this hotel if your looking to rest.
We stayed at Lunar Patong Hotel during a great trip organized by Almusafer Travel Agency ALMUSAFER!
We really enjoyed accept a few communications issues at the beginning caused by miss informations concerning our prepaid reservations for the group!
Any way finaly they resolve out.
We really love the rooms are clean and spacious, the location is great and the buffet is good and enough.
The only little problems is communication due a basic level of ingles for some hotel staff
Any way the try to do the best most of the time
Many thanks to my friend Jihad ALMUSAFER for all his efforts to organise this lovely trip
We'll be back soon😉
