How to Get There
a clean hotel that appears well kept, but when it comes to extorting you for fees or services and they when I actually need help with something..well it seems they are not so able to help.. or get back to you...
The property is well located. The building is solid. The property is very well maintained.
The rooms are clean all the time I stayed at the property. Convenient as there are many functions daily. So one can stay at the property and pop in to meeting whenever
Everything was great, except, the bathroom sink and tub were very slow draining....they can do better. The view out my window was really nice- the rooms were fresh and the linens were worth staying in bed for! Hopefully, they use a little draino before the next trip to Wichita, KS.
Extreme lack of hot water. The answer we were given was to let the water run in the sink and in the bathtub. We let the water run for over five minutes, and still did not have hot water. This problem and the solution we were given was a total waste of water.
My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for three nights as part of an extended weekend concert getaway in August. (I'm a little behind on my reviews.)
The hotel is clean and contemporary and the staff here is top notch. Greyson welcomed us at check in before we were whisked to our room on the 17th floor. Hyatt beds are the best and did not disappoint here. Our room was spacious and faced north, with large windows overlooking downtown and the Arkansas River. A keen eye could also spot the famous Keeper of the Plains statue in the distance. We were treated to a lightning storm off in the distance our first night and our perch high above the city allowed for the perfect view.
The hotel is in an ideal location and isn't far from the Instrust Bank Arena, Old Town or any of the other popular downtown spots. Parking in the attached garage is $7 per day with in and out privileges.
Dinner at Harvest was fantastic. The blue cheese filet was cooked to perfection and was my favorite meal of the weekend. Our server, Dylan, was amazing! He knows the menu and was the only server the night we dined there. I don't know how he managed to take care of the entire restaurant on his own but, he was a rock star. Hotel restaurants tend to be hit or miss but, our experience was great and we'll be back.
We were very pleased with the Hyatt Regency Wichita and will definitely return the next time we're in town.
