The Lowdown

This 61-room Alpine-style resort situated just outside of Banff National Park offers spacious condo-style suites–choose from one or two bedrooms, each with full kitchens, patios, and ensuite bathrooms. Communal luxuries include a 10-person al fresco jacuzzi, full gym, BBQ area, and fire pit. In the Area

Set in Canmore, in the historic hamlet of Dead Man’s Flats, the resort is perfectly situated for rugged adventures in the great outdoors. Want to take it easy the first day? Board a Rockies Heli Tour for an exhilarating flight over dramatic mountains, lakes, and glaciers. If you’re visiting in winter, don’t miss out on a dog sled tour. Local outfitter Howling Dog Tours offers pulse-racing rides through the snow. Summertime, meanwhile, means even more adrenaline-packed adventures like white-water rafting and rock climbing.

Lovely place! Just NOT wheelchair friendly
jillybean238

Just a heads up, this is a difficult place for wheelchairs to navigate and the two bedroom suites cannot accomadate wheelchairs.
We took my 86 year old, wheelchair dependant grandma with us on a trip and booked into a two bedroom suite so she wouldn't be in a suite on her own. However, when we arrived, we found that both bedrooms were on an upper level. We had to move her into a one bedroom suite on her own.
This is a fabulous, cozy, well-equiped place. Just wanted to give people a heads up about the wheelchair/mobility issues.

Another great weekend at Copperstone. We were treated royally by the staff upon arrival, during our stay, and when checking out. The comfortable and well appointed unit was wonderful. We, and our canine family member, will be back!
