Between Kunshan and Suzhou, around an hour from Shanghai, this lakeside hotel is a favorite with Shanghainese looking for a relaxing weekend escape. The guestrooms make the most of the rural setting beside Yancheng Lake Park, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the park to the north and the lake to the south. The rooms start at a spacious 484 square feet and have one King or two Double beds, plus 42-inch flat-screen TVs, marble bathrooms with walk-in showers, and modern decor in a choice of light (yellow and gold) or dark (brown and green) color schemes. The popular Signature Lake View Rooms also have private balconies overlooking the lake. Downstairs, the signature Yi Feng Court restaurant dishes up Cantonese fare prepared with ingredients from the hotel’s 200-acre organic farm, as well as from Yangcheng Lake, which is home to the region’s famous hairy crab. There’s also the Essence restaurant for Western dishes, and afternoon tea served in the Luwei Lobby Lounge. For sybarites there’s the Willow Stream Spa and the indoor and outdoor pools, while parents can make the most of the hotel’s kids club (for ages three to 12), which keeps youngsters entertained making scarecrows, painting, birdwatching and harvesting honey from the farm’s 25 hives.

How to Get There
We went there a second time with friends and kids and keep a great souvenir. We booked a Club room as usual, way more convenient and comfortable with kids.

What a great trip! We stayed in a fantastic room. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Hotel environment is very relaxing, good for family or friends gathering trip. We enjoy our stay on this hotel very much, look forward to coming back next time.
Upon arrival the hotel lobby felt very cold with outside temperatures in low single digit figures. Then our rooms were also freezing cold as the heating was turned on. So we decided to hit the sauna to warm up and found out that the sauna was yet turned on and it was already 1830. Finally our restaurant that evening was also cold. Energy saving at the expense of guest satisfaction.
