This is the best hotel in Jerusalem, Israel! I only stay here and recommended you do to.It is the highest class of luxury yet they make you feel at home. Only steps from the great mamilia mall and a short walk to the old city of Jerusalem Israel.

If you are traveling to Jerusalem and you want a luxurious hotel in a great location, then the Waldorf Astoria is the answer. I've stayed there in July for six straight years and it's consistently superior.

The concierge staff, led by Aviad and assisted by Daniel (among others), is the best I've ever met at a high-end property. They can help you with just about anything, including getting your passport extended! Even the door staff, led by George and Joseph, could not be more helpful: George won't let you go out without a complimentary bottle of ice cold water!

Midori is one of several incredibly friendly and helpful front desk staffers. Amira Lauer was on property and helped me extend my stay for two extra nights, which made things even better. One of the front desk managers, Amir, was on vacation for most of my stay, but he is one of the best in the business and helped friends I'd recommended to the property.

The rooms are downright luxurious, complete with wonderful beds, excellent internet, flat-screen tv with plenty of channels. Bathrooms are large, and include antique-style "legged" tubs, over-sized showers, a in-wall tv (soak and watch!) and stocked with Ahava products.

You can't beat the location: a half-block from the Mamila Mall and 10-minute walk to the Old City's Jaffa Gate. The streetcar stops 2.5 blocks away, buses stop less than a block away and there are endless restaurants.

Breakfast is incredible...prices are Waldorf-tier...great bartender Ari (downstairs).

Very disappointing. Not Waldorf quality, bad service. I would not go back

Multiple issues: long wait times at check in (only one person attending); improvised gym in a guest room, no water in gym and took about 25 min to get it; concierge not capable of reserving dinner - I had to do it on my own, no pool - under construction? Best restaurant closed for a private event - leaving the hotel guests at the lowest priority. And all this for over $500 per night? Unbelievably bad service, no attention to details and they don't seem to care - no reaction to feedback. Only good thing are the rooms.
