How to Get There
I must say, the whole staff at Leonardo Hotel Jerusalem has been above and beyond expectations. We had a situation with a family in our group which needed addressing and a kind staff member (Abraham)AJ Munir dealt with it in a kind, gentle, patient manner. Looking forward to visiting again someday. Thank you, thank you.
General review first, hotel is ok. It's designed for tour companies. Huge lobby normally full of groups waiting for their tour bus. Breakfast was ok, nothing amazing. Room standard is quite poor, it's shoddy and outdated. Pool area is horrible. It's about as sad looking as it gets!
Arriving at the hotel I found the street quite weird. It's a street with nothing much in the immediate vicinity except for a row of huge hotels. After spending a few days here I realised that the green line is the street in front of the hotel and we were in an Israeli owned building that's actually on the Palestinian side of the UN's green line! Had I realised this in advance, I would have stayed somewhere else!
Great hotel chain in Israel.
This hotel is 10 minutes walk from the old city of Jerusalem, and Damascus gate.
Great food in the breakfast and dinner (is a kosher hotel).
The staff is friendly and helpful.
