How to Get There
We've stayed at Congress Hall & the Virginia before and wanted to try the rest of the Cape Resorts, the Sandpiper.
I think we inadvertently saved the best for last. We had a great time and the staff was great, very helpful. The beach service was awesome & beach tags too.
I have to agree with others about the parking. It was tight but we didn't drive much.
We did have an incident and the staff and management were quick to resolve the issue. We will definitely be back.
The Sandpiper Beach Club is an amazing place to stay for a fun NJ vacation! My family and I have been going to the sandpiper for a few years and we have always been impressed by how clean and nice it is.
The first thing you”ll notice is just how clean everything is in your room plus 2x times a day maid service is great! The pool is also very nice.
The one area for improvement is parking. You only get one parking space and it’s not very good for big cars and cars w/ bike racks😞. Management, if you are reading this, please maybe think of expanding the parking lot.
Overall, my family and I love spending time at the Sandpiper. It’s a great vacation hotel and we plan to come every year! 😉
Excellent place to stay for families. The great things are: clean, clean, clean!! Wonderful 2x/day maid service; upscale toiletries; staff is always helpful. Wonderful beach service—no need to bring down chairs, umbrellas or towels-all provided for you. 😎
Area that needs to be improved: PARKING is awful. Every condo is assigned one space but the spaces are small and very difficult to get in and out of the lot. Management, please consider expanding the parking lot.
Overall, we still plan to come down every year to the Sandpiper. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. A true vacation.
This hotel has it all. I grew up at the shore and so I know how most hotels function. The Sandpiper Beach Resort knows how to do it right. I always tell people visiting the shore to not expect what you would normally get at other beach areas. Somehow the service industry in Cape May County does not measure up. I don't know if it is because they know people will pay for and put up with anything just to be at the shore or what but I have never had an excellent stay...until now. It began with Laura at check in who was so accommodating and helpful. She explained everything I needed to know. The resort has shuttle service to the Main Street, beach tags, chairs, umbrellas and towels upon arrival to the beach and you can even order food and drinks and charge it to the room while you are at the beach. Since they are part of a "family" of businesses, there are several restaurants you can go to and simply charge it to the room. The Rusty Nail and the Blue Pig Tavern were two of our frequent stops. When I stay in Cape May next time, I will be sure to stay at the Sandpiper Beach Resort!
This hotel had the cleanest room we’ve stayed in in a long time. No dirt, no dust, no mold. And no sand. Balcony, quite small, kept me from giving five stars, but the view of the beach and ocean more than compensated. Our third floor room faced southwest; we will try the other side of the hotel next time to get the morning sun. The gentleman who checked like us in kindly moved us from a first floor room when I asked if something higher was available. When I asked questions, even the maintenance staff responded pleasantly. The kitchen appliances were spotless; the kitchen came well equipped. The location of the hotel allowed for walking everywhere with no need for a car while there. We look forward to making Cape May and the Sandpiper an annual destination.
