Elegant dining

Made a reservation for our 30th wedding anniversary and so glad we did. The dining room is so nice. The wait staff were very attentive and professional. We ordered the scottish salmon and pork dish which were spectacular ! The lemon bar and waffles and ice cream were so beautifully presented and delicious. What a special celebration dinner plus BYOB.

Wonderful anniversary dinner

We have passed PSI for years, always admiring the beautiful building. We decided to spend our 50th wedding anniversary at PSI because it is one of just a very few high end “special” restaurants in which to enjoy a memorable event in Cape May, NJ

We were not disappointed. The setting is beautiful, the service impeccable and the food delicious.

Our server, Christof, was very attentive without being annoying. He was very personable and pleasant and anxious that our evening was special.

The only negative of the evening had nothing to do with PSI but rather the other diners. If you are spending upwards of $250.00 for dinner, why do you arrive dressed as though you are eating at Mc Donald’s? We saw many men in shorts and tee shirts and one man who even wore a baseball cap thoughout the meal!!!! We realize that enforcing a dress code in this day and age is almost futile and that PSI would likely not survive financially if they chose to do so. It is a sad statement however that adults, who are obviously able to spend money for dinner in such a lovely atmosphere, do not have enough sense, or class, to even dress in business casual for dinner!

Went with wife for Pre-Fix menu prior to a reception. Had a incredible mushroom bisque soup, along with an incredible pork over asparagus. Wife had a lemon bar and I had waffles over ice cream for dessert. Great atmosphere, great service, great experience.

We have eaten here a few times & the food is wonderful. This time we wanted to try the Inn. We were not disapointed, we had a room on the third floor, though small very nicely apointed. Private bath, ac, comfy bed, fireplace, TV. Add to that wine and cheese at 4pm to 6pm, a hospitality room with snacks, water, coffee etc. 24/7. Free parking and bikes, and more. I can't wait to go back.

Wagyu Strip Steak

My wife and I visited this inn (:PSI") in the off-season. But when we called for a 6 PM reservation, we were told the first one was not available until 7:45 PM. I am so glad we took it. The Inn gets high mention in guidebooks for "Romantic." I can only say physically the lighting was subdued, each table had a rose and candle, and the wait staff was well-schooled. Tables were quietly and expertly cleared. Our main server, Megan, was well-schooled and attentive. She apologized one menu special was done, but in its place a Wagyu strip steak was offered. She thoughtfully gave the price -- about $55. I ordered it. It was magical. I have had prime meat, dry and otherwise aged. In my 70 years I have never had such a delicious piece of beef. My wife ordered Sottish salmon, for which PSI is justly renowned. She found it exquisite. Pear sorbet was also delicious. It is fine dining, and I must say well worth it.
