One of our best beach vacations!!

My wife and I were at the beach this year with her parents and we stayed in the Portofino villa on the lower level. This was our second year at this amazing bed and breakfast. The villa was very spacious with 2 large rooms with large comfortable beds, a living room area with a couch where we gathered to plan our days and a full kitchen where we sat early in the morning to enjoy coffee or after a long day at the beach to enjoy some food and wine and talk about the amazing place called the OCNJ beach and boardwalk! The breakfast was included in the cost of the room since we booked online...and it is definitely something you need to experience. The Inn offers a menu for you to preorder from the night before and provides fresh fruit, breakfast breads and juice/coffee to pair with the meal. The staff is extremely courteous and polite. The owner, Val, even personally welcomed us on our first day at the inn. We felt as if we were staying with family. The inn also has a roof top deck which is great either early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the ocean or later in the evening to see the lights and hear the sounds of the boardwalk just a block away. This is a perfect location for anyone who would like to get away to have an amazing beach experience!!

Luxurious Bed & Breakfast

I am a repeat visitor and I have referred others. I LOVE this Bed & Breakfast and can't wait to visit again. I am actually thinking about booking a girls weekend here in celebration of my 46th Birthday. It is 1 block from the beach and in walking distance to pretty much everything! They offer breakfast if you book directly on their website and it is delicious. The rooms are cozy and romantic (try the room upstairs that leads to the deck during the fall months. I forget the name, but I know it has a fireplace and sets the mood just right). You must go and stay, believe me you will not regret it!

A touch of class

One is given a keyless code to open the front door. Upon entering we wandered around till we found a staff person who showed us to our room. He kindly offered to help with carrying our bags upstairs. We settled into our room which comfortable and decorated beautifully. We promptly enjoyed the freshly baked brownies and sangria offered in the dining area. All areas of the house are well maintained and clean. We really liked the keyless code to our room which is changed with each customer. Beds were very comfortable with quality linens. A most wonderful shower was part of the luxury bathroom. If you make reservations on line breakfast is included. Each day guests receive an email requesting preference for seating time and menu choice. I received the email daily but always received an error when trying to return the email. We explained our difficulty first thing in the morning which was never a problem. The staff simply took our breakfast order and we were served at our convenience. Breakfast offered delightful choices and had an artful presentation. There were choices of omelets, eggs, pancakes and french toast. Fresh fruit and bakery items were part of the offering as well. Folks chose to eat either indoors or outdoors on the porch. We did have beach chairs and an umbrella which we were able to store under the steps outside. Parking is in an overnight lot down the street 3 blocks for a fee of $19.50 with advanced reservations. There is no outside shower for the chance to have a beach day after one has checked out. We did not use the top floor terrace due to the hot weather.
