How to Get There
We spent from friday to sunday at the hotel. The hotel is well located and overall the facilities are good and the staff kind, but the quality of the restaurant and cafeteria are below average.
If I return to Puerto Vallarta, I would choose another option.
We stayed at the Westin for the first time this week. We spent 5 nights at the resort. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean and nice. Angel in the restaurant La Palomar was the best. He was friendly and attentive.
The best part of the Westin was the pool. It was tropical and beautiful. Plenty of space to sit and relax around the pools.
The biggest downside to the hotel was the choice of dining. During this time there was 1 restaurant and the poolside snacks. There was another bar open only from 5-11pm. The quality of the food was fine. Nothing spectacular.
We also did not like the timeshare offers.
you can see that the building is been around for a while but it is well maintained and extremely clean, all staff were great and courteous, the pool area is a paradise with tall palms and plenty of seating and suntanning areas, we had a room with a balcony on the 8th floor and the view of the pool, sea and mountains was excellent, could not have asked for a better stay, spent 9 days in PV, breakfast was very tasteful and fresh, lunch and dinner menus could be better but options were reasonable, vallarta ceviche was really good, I would not hesitate to recommend or stay at the westin in the future, only thing i cannot understand is why there is not a shuttle to the airport but taxi fares is about 80 pesos which is reasonable. Front desk staff, Concierge service, maid service, waiters, expedia expert on site were all very helpful, transportation to town is also a piece of cake by bus (about 50 cents) or taxi about $8, area is also very quiet at night which helps with sleep, beds were very comfortable, water pressure on our shower was also very good. I want to thank all staff for your hard work, if you are considering the Westin as one of your lodging options in PV, do not hesitate, you will enjoy it.
