How to Get There
The room was very nice. Two queen beds were more than enough to let us rest easy. Showers were very clean and we had fresh towels and water bottles everyday. The cleaning staff would do an excellent job and even left my parents some candies for when they arrived back at the hotel.
But all that is an after thought compared to the service we received from all the staff at the hotel. Manuel especially was excellent with us! He was the master of ceremony of my brother's wedding and he got to know all 4 of his siblings (including me!) and treated us as if we were guests of honor at the hotel.
Juan and Patricia were servers that really went out of their way to make us happy. From getting the bacon to be extra crispy to finding us laying by the pool in a different spot than where we started... they truly were trying to do their job to the best of their ability and it showed.
We stayed here for a wedding that was held on the beach. I’ve never said this before but the hotel and the pool were so beautiful that we forgot about the beach several times and preferred the pool. From water aerobics and tequila volleyball to bingo (shout out to Manuel for being basically the best, most attentive staff member!!) there was always something fun to do. Watch out for the iguanas in the pool! It’s frightening the first time you see one swim. Since this is not an all inclusive, we chose to upgrade to the club level and that paid for itself by saving money on breakfast and some evening drinks and snacks. All and all a great experience.
My family and I have visited this hotel for 10+ years and return every year during Christmas. We find the hotel to be a great value for the price we pay. The hotel is constantly updated and looks well maintained while keeping its traditional Mexican Character. We like the way many employees have been working there since we’ve been going and always are very welcoming and even remember our name. As a Platinum guest we receive free access to the club room which is a nice perk (free drinks and snacks.). We do not often receive a room upgrade with our statues but still find the accommodations comfortable. We also really enjoy the breakfast buffet, large pool, kids club area and direct ocean access. Another plus is you can walk just 5 minutes and be at the Marina shopping area which has suvenior shops and great restaurant options as well. It’s less than a 10 minute ride from the airport and a 15-20 drive to downtown. Highly recommended!
Was here for family wedding. Extremely friendly staff. If you go, find Manuel Lopez, the Activitiers Director and find our when his water volleyball games are. They are unlike any you will find. Kids, adults, skilled, unskill - everyone is smiling, laughing. He is a gem!
F&B and events staff did a super job setting up a waterside ceremony and then a beach side reception. Club room staff are attentive and accommodating
Spa and health club facility are very good - Westin does that right. Make sure you confirm your appts a few times but our party had dozens of appts and nobody was disappointed. Arturo is a great therapist- (many said the same thing). Rooms could use some updating and the common bathrooms needed more attention at times hence 4 star. Pools are nice, but watch the floor slopes in the deep and on the sunshelves, they change and you cant see it well. A hazard to all if you don't expect floor slope to change. Easy walk to the marina district- cheesey shops, cafes and bars. Lighthouse bar is fun at night. Overall, it was a fun experience and the staff was excellent.
Westin was a stay for my friends wedding. The view from the rooms is impeccable. Clean, nice, comfy rooms and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Loved the multiple pools, and right on the beach. Would stay here again!
