How to Get There
A GREAT FIRST EXPERIENCE! I will be back with my kids! They will love it. I love the separation from the town itself. Uber was 2 to 3 dollars per trip up and down the hill. Which I highly recommend using. It's a 10-15 minute trip up and down. With Uber, we met lots of locals and found out about local eats and shops that were awesome. It was quiet, serene and beautiful. Everything you need can be arranged through the hotel. Excursions and reservations.
Compared to the places other guests of the wedding stayed at, this by far was the best! HANDS DOWN!!!
My girlfriend and I escaped for a 4 night mini vacation at this great hotel. It is a little off the beaten path... Atop The cobbled streets of Conchas Chinas, with perhaps the best views of Banderas Bay possible. Being the off season, there was probably more staff than guests on hand, but that really made it feel like the whole place was ours. Rooms were great, all have an ocean view, a small kitchenette, and a supremely comfortable bed.
The daily breakfast at Ciero Linto (?) was fantastic, made to order, and convenient, with impeccable service.
The Eugenia restaurant on the roof (formerly Sky Lounge ) had fantastic views, and an infinity pool accessible during the day. The drinks were a little weak, but that did not dampen the mood. You could dress up in casual going-out attire here, but shorts and a t-shirt were seen with no drop in service.
The snack bar and swim up bar served good, reasonably priced food (by American standards), but did close a bit early (6'ish) for my liking. This was one of the small concessions to make for our off season schedule.
The daily shuttles to the "Zona Romantica" were great. Concierge and tour booking services were excellent, and what you would expect in a 4-5 star hotel. We did a luxury snorkeling trip to a semi-private beach which was outstanding. Again, the benefits of the off season travel.
Finally, we enjoyed the spa services on our 5th, and final day. The hotel accommodated our late check out, and once again, made everything comfortable.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel at all. And, if you travel in the off season, you can enjoy almost nightly thunderstorms (none during the day), from the comfort of your king size bed.
One note, due to its hillside location, a shuttle or taxi is your best bet for getting around. It is walkable, but the walk is steep and stout... Perhaps 1 mile and 700-800 ft up from the hwy/beach below.
Beautiful resort with very friendly and professional staff. We visited during the slow season and nearly had the resort to ourselves. Our room was exceptionally clean and had a very comfortable bed. Great recommendations for activities and restaurants were provided. The food was good. We ate at the swim up bar one night, breakfast every morning and had a few drinks at the top bar. Due to the slow season, there was not a lot of staff during the evening hours, meaning no service in some of the bar areas. We did not mind though, the quiet trade off was with it. We also used the spa services. I highly recommend this resort if you want to be up in the hillside with lovely views and a luxury feel.
