A little disappointed that units are not as advertised. Exchange units are not on the lake, but rather in the woods with no lake view, limited view, and with very little deck privacy. The units are not close to the amenities. You have to drive to everything, but they have a lot of activities offered and a good variety of things to do. The area is beautiful and the resort is centrally located to enjoy them. Best to ask the locals about scenic sites, as we discovered several wonderful places that are not advertised. Units are nicely supplied and comfortable. Our unit was not cleaned well when we arrived, which was disappointing. We would consider staying here again.

I was a tad worried about the steps, but they were easy to negotiate and NOT a problem. We stayed in the two bedroom and it provided plenty of room and privacy. We did not have "a view" which is a problem for some, but we were surrounded by trees that kept the outside temps cool. Evenings allowed us to utilize the table and chairs on the balcony for chatting and wine consumption. We cooked in most nights and every morning and had everything we needed. If you plan on riding the train at Bryson City, you may want to allow the resort to book your activity because they have better deals. We did enjoy the zip-lining on site and went to the pool for a few hours. Most of our activities were off site. We went to Dillsboro for the Duckie ride, Bryson City for the Adult beverage train ride, and to Cherokee to attend "Unto These Hills" and tour the living village. I would recommend all of the above activities as well as white water rafting for older kids. If you have older teenagers and want more of a challenge, take them rafting down the Chattooga in GA. You can get a zip/rafting package. We had a wonderful time!

Would return in future.

Beautiful view, and comfortable beds. The area around the resort was lovely. There are cute shops and good restaurants near the resort. We did not use the amenities although they were very nice. We enjoyed a restaurant on the property called The Library.
