A slice of la dolce vita at a seafront hotel on the coast of Sardinia, with breakfast and a welcome drink

The Lowdown

With the Sardinian sun on your skin, the scent of hibiscus and bougainvillaea in the air and the taste of fresh Mediterranean fare on your tongue, you’ll fall head-over-heels in love with Hotel Costa Dei Fiori, a little slice of paradise. This is the perfect pick for when you’re looking to slow down, switch off and indulge, Italian-style. Luxurious accommodation, great food and wine and an idyllic seafront location make it the perfect getaway – and the ideal base from which to enjoy the rich culture and history of unique Sardinia.
By day, enjoy swimming in the stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea or relaxing on the sun terrace. When the evening draws in, dine under the stars on traditional Sardinian cuisine at the hotel’s al-fresco pergoda restaurant, or enjoy a cocktail at the stylish terrace bar. And if you’d like a first-rate swim break, take advantage of the complimentary shuttle-bus service. It heads straight to nearby, world-famous Chia Bay, with its warm sands and clear turquoise waters, so you can round off your feast for the senses with the splash of the sea on your toes.

The hotel’s 82 elegant rooms and suites are furnished in traditional Sardinian style, with whitewashed walls, terra-cotta floors and carved chestnut furniture. All rooms have views of the pool or gardens, and private or shared balconies or terraces. Ibiscus Superior rooms offer more space than Bouganvillea Classic rooms and a luxury bathroom with a tub.

The hotel has two good restaurants, one of which is by the central pool, serving traditional local dishes and wines on an idyllic al-fresco terrace that’s sheltered by a pergoda.

The Hotel Costa Dei Fiori is located in beautiful landscaped gardens that border a secluded rocky cove, overlooking the sea on the southern tip of Sardinia. The town of Pula and Nora is less than two miles away, and there’s a choice of sandy beaches nearby. We’d recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding area.

A superb hotel in every way

We visited this wonderful hotel for one week in August – how we wished it could have been longer! The Costa dei Fiori is relaxing and quiet, with beautiful gardens and extremely helpful and friendly staff. The infinity pool is a highlight – you walk through a small pine wood to reach the pool with its breathtaking view over the Mediterranean. Bliss!
It is useful to have a car, but not essential. The hotel can organise a taxi/shuttle bus or excursions, you just have to ask. If you don’t fancy a trip out, settle down on the lounger and enjoy the sounds of birds singing, the scent of pine woods and flowers, and the absolute tranquillity, even in high season. It really feels like Paradise. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful little Hotel...total relaxation!

Stayed for a week in July. Exceptionally great and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Hotel was almost fully booked but you would never know it....so quiet ....the pool areas quiet and more a less empty...no prob with sunbeds or loud fellow holidaymakers. Breakfast great...usual choice of fresh fruit, cereal, breads, meats and pastries. Some hot choices too. Breakfast team were especially lovely. You can get a fresh barista coffee from the bar too. Ate dinner a couple of times.....set menu 39 euro for 4 courses. Good with great wine list but we out ate a lot because the local food is so good and good value. Complimentary nibbles and fresh bar snacks, e.g. Charcuterie board with cocktails and drinks. Rooms spacious with good toiletries. We were lucky enough to have a room right in front of pool so wifi signal was good for us. Complimentary shuttle to beach if you bookmark direct with hotel. Shuttle also takes you into town and to a few other places for small charge. The brothers that run this service for the hotel are great and happy to drive you other places.... we used them for airport transfer too. You do need a car or to use the taxi service because the hotel,is not really near anything but that is part of its charm. Beautiful gardens. Really lovely stay and a hotel,I would recommend and return to.

We spent 10 days at Costa dei Fiori over the summer holiday; we could not be happier. Convenient base to visit the beautiful beaches around. Very thoughtful and friendly team, noting was too much at all!!! We didn’t drive, the hotel arranged taxi service and trips for us. There is also daily shuttle bus to one of the beautiful beaches in Chia and to the local towns. The infinity pool and the message room looking over the sea was the highlight. Thank you Costa dei Fiori team for make our holiday extra special. We hope to see you again.

We had a fantastic time at the Hotel Costa Dei Fiori, the hotel and grounds are beautiful and the surroundings peaceful and relaxing. Both the central pool and infinity pool overlooking the sea are gorgeous. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed, including complimentary water each day. The staff were polite, friendly, professional and always helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service excellent. We look forward to returning one day soon.

We loved our trip to this fabulous hotel. It is situated within a beautiful tropical garden full of flowers, butterflies and birds. The two swimming pools are lovely - with o e just by the sea. The food is good quality and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would love to make a second visit. If you want to explore the surrounding area rent a car from the airport. There are beautiful white sandy beaches just 20-30mins away!
