With the Sardinian sun on your skin, the scent of hibiscus and bougainvillaea in the air and the taste of fresh Mediterranean fare on your tongue, you’ll fall head-over-heels in love with Hotel Costa Dei Fiori, a little slice of paradise. This is the perfect pick for when you’re looking to slow down, switch off and indulge, Italian-style. Luxurious accommodation, great food and wine and an idyllic seafront location make it the perfect getaway – and the ideal base from which to enjoy the rich culture and history of unique Sardinia.
By day, enjoy swimming in the stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea or relaxing on the sun terrace. When the evening draws in, dine under the stars on traditional Sardinian cuisine at the hotel’s al-fresco pergoda restaurant, or enjoy a cocktail at the stylish terrace bar. And if you’d like a first-rate swim break, take advantage of the complimentary shuttle-bus service. It heads straight to nearby, world-famous Chia Bay, with its warm sands and clear turquoise waters, so you can round off your feast for the senses with the splash of the sea on your toes.
The hotel’s 82 elegant rooms and suites are furnished in traditional Sardinian style, with whitewashed walls, terra-cotta floors and carved chestnut furniture. All rooms have views of the pool or gardens, and private or shared balconies or terraces. Ibiscus Superior rooms offer more space than Bouganvillea Classic rooms and a luxury bathroom with a tub.
The hotel has two good restaurants, one of which is by the central pool, serving traditional local dishes and wines on an idyllic al-fresco terrace that’s sheltered by a pergoda.
The Hotel Costa Dei Fiori is located in beautiful landscaped gardens that border a secluded rocky cove, overlooking the sea on the southern tip of Sardinia. The town of Pula and Nora is less than two miles away, and there’s a choice of sandy beaches nearby. We’d recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding area.
How to Get There
We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay in costa dei fiori. The staff made us feel so welcome and where very attentive . Our suite was amasing and had a view of the sea . We appreciated the tea making facilities in our room . The food in the evening was delicious , real Italian food . The breakfast buffet was great , ranged from eggs and bacon , fruit , cake and brioche . We will defiantly return !!!
This hotel is wonderful. A straightforward drive from Cagliari/Elmas airport took about half an hour to 45 minutes. There was ample parking. The exterior of the hotel was nice and the check in process smooth. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in an Ibiscus room which had a sea view - simply stunning. Immaculate condition and very clean! Beach towels provided. We ate at the restaurant on our first night. The food was good but quite pricey at 35 euros each for a main course. Breakfast was good, decent enough selection of items. Mainly continental, salad, cheeses, meats, bacon, eggs, bread, pastries, cakes and donuts. Nice coffee. We both would have liked a greater selection of cereal and yogurts but this is a minor point. The quality of the juice served at breakfast isn’t great but you can get freshly squeezed orange juice for a small extra charge. We went out of season and both enjoyed this as the hotel wasn’t packed and it was easy to get a lounger by the pools or on the beach.
You definitely need a car if staying at this hotel. The beaches at Chia are about 20min drive and Pula about 10 min drive where there are restaurants and places to enjoy a gelato or two. We travelled as a couple but the hotel was family friendly. I would say if you are looking for a lively holiday this isn’t the place to stay but it is absolutely perfect if you are looking for rest and relaxation. We had a wonderful time here, our first time in Sardinia/Italy and we would definitely stay at Hotel Costa Dei Fiori again. Highly recommended.
By far the most enjoyable stay we experienced in Sardinia! Our room was stunning, spacious, with a lovely private terrace overlooking the park, and was beautifully furnished. Everything was exceptional, from the breakfast, served by the pool,to the staff's attention to detail. A truly memorable stay.
